Seems like ages since the last time I posted here, maybe because it has been. I have to say, I really did miss the community, showing off my collection, reading what people thought, but times have changed and as many, so did I.
While I was collecting, I was also engaged to the best woman I could ever ask for. She would buy me figures out of the blue, buy me wrestling tickets, shirts, love me whenever(which she still does lol) and plain all around awesome.
But, we ended up hitting a rough spot in our lives. Our dog ended up needing medical attention, I ended up needing to get my shoulder put back in place after dislocating it and the hospital bills were piling up. After paying off the hospital bills, we were in debt and material things we didn't need had to go so we could pay off the current bills. See, we didn't do the smart thing. We should of had a savings account but we were young, in love, and didn't care. Well after everything was said and done, I had to sell all my figures. I even returned all my Classics to walmart, which suprisingly bought them back! all $750 worth I had hanging on my wall. I sold my RSC Exclusives, such as the DX pack and the Tazz, all in all, I sold over 200 loose figures and a crap ton of classics and was able to pay 2 months worth of bills.
So, after deliberation and finally being set back in place in lifes fast track, we moved. And in the course of everything, stress bills, selling a huge part of my life, I lost track of wrestling, and actually fell out of love with it, so I never checked on wrestling figures or kept up to date with storylines.
Anyways, I flipped on WWE one night out of boredom and watched the show where The Nexus first debuted. The night they raised all types of hell and put out a millions questions. Yes, I was in love again. Any time you have a virus infecting a company, it draws anyone in.
Anyways, I been watching again for months, and slowly but surely I been looking(JUST LOOKING LOL) at the figures and I must say, Mattell has done an amazing job. So much better than Jakks ever did imo. But, the other day the looking stopped and yes, I bought some figures lol. My amazing collection that once was is erased from my memory, but buying new ones, and this time keeping them MOC haha, are now etched. I will forever miss my old one, but this one actually holds alot more meaning to me.
After going through so much tribulations and me and my lovely fiancee moving into a new house, making a SAVINGS account for the unknown, it just means that I feel complete I guess. Without going through all the trials and tribulations in life we wouldn't be anywhere in this world. I don't have pictures yet, but I'll post them when my new ones come in from TRU since they had a pretty sweet deal.
I hope you all enjoyed my "coming back" post. I missed this place
