With all the rumblings about the Legends Series it got me thinking....if Mattel is worried about the sales, why not just make the Legends 4 per set. It would cut down on their costs to produce, and still give the people a decent series.
I've come up with a reasonable 4 figure series lineup through Series 12....tell me what you think!
Series 7-
Rocker Shawn Michaels (Proto we saw)
Rocker Marty Jannetty (Proto we saw)
Andre the Giant (Proto we saw)
Arn Anderson (full 4 horsemen style attire, maybe coming with the first Classic Tag Team belt)
You get the awesome tag team set we saw, a huge name in Andre, and a lesser know but still popular guy like Arn.
Series 8-
Goldust (debut attire, gold robe & wig, gold strap IC belt)
Diamond Dallas Paige (WCW attire & vest w/WCW championship)
Tito Santana (white attire, w/ red Tito shirt)
Bret 'Hitman' Hart (wrestlemania 13 attire w/hart Foundation jacket)
You get 2 big name stars, one cool looking figure & still known name, and one lesser known but still worthwhile
Series 9-
Shawn Michaels (Royal Rumble 1998 attire w/ Winged Eagle belt)
Undertaker (Purple attire w/mask & urn)
Bobby Heenan (flashy Bobby Heenan show jacket, mic & headset)
Kane (1997 debut attire)
3 big names plus the first Legends "announcer", and Heenan is popular enough with everyone
Series 10-
Jerry Lawler (90's era attire w/king's crown & jacket)
Diesel (standard attire w/ tassled vest & sunglasses)
Honky Tonk Man (blue attire w/guitar & IC belt)
Yokozuna (red attire w/robe & winged eagle belt)
2 Big names, Lawler can double as an announcer, HTM should be released in his most known attire & look
Series 11-
Sycho Sid (w/vest & winged eagle belt)
Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (w/black robe)
Razor Ramon (green attire, cloth vest, w/IC belt)
Lex Luger (All American attire w/Lex Express jacket)
2 big names, plus a unique figure in Luger and a guy who was popular in the 80's
Series 12-
Mankind (debut brown attire with cloth shirt)
The Rock (Debut attire w/IC title)
Doink The Clown (most well known attire w/jacket & hammer)
Big Boss Man (Cobb County blue attire w/nightstick & glasses)
2 big names, 1 very well liked guy who never got a perfect figure, 1 gimmick that would make an awesome Mattel figure
Again, these are just suggestions, but it seems like it would be an easy problem to fix as most of those guys already have WWE Legends deals and I feel like its a good mix of "big" stars and well enough known stars.
