Not to mention the belt is dull and lacking detail compared to the elite 8 belts which are amazing

This has been answered already. The designers made the choice to go with the yellow belt. It works for me. We've already had two Intercontinental titles in the Legends line, and we're bound to get a black-strap old-school WWF Championship soon enough. I can see why people don't like the yellow belt, but I like it a lot more than a black one.

While I forget why they made it yellow...Bill said that it was entirely his choice to make the belt yellow. personally I don't have a problem with it. When I get another Warrior locally I'll probably fix that belt.

I don't have it in-hand, but I like how it looks in pics.

Yeah, but oh well. It's fun. I'm not even sure I'll pick this up anyways, but any kind of a Winged Eagle is a bonus.

Ignoring the crap reasons Mattel usually gives for doing things around here, the most likely reason is so you simply have to buy another figure to get the standard black belt. By making each belt a little more stylized for the wrestler it comes with it means that is another figure to buy later for the more simple version of the belt. I am surprised they didn't give the first Warrior figure a yellow strapped IC belt.

I've got no problem with it. Warrior had different colored straps on his titles. Adds variety and color to the display.

I have a problem with it because it doesn't actually exist. Mattel had been all about accuracy and attention to detail, and now they're making things up just because they think it looks cool.
I'm still buying the figure though so I guess I can't complain too much...

I guess i'm an accuracy snob. I would have been fine if he was given the blue or purple winged eagle belt as he wore those. But a yellow one never even existed. Would rather have yellow ic. Actually for the price they charge this shouldn't even be a debate. We should have received 2 belts with him a yellow ic and a black WWF.

I kind of disagree with the hate on the yellow belt. It looks good. The Warrior had various colored belts during his run, and let's be honest... we're going to get (at least one) black winged eagle belt. If we used this line of logic, then Warrior's paint should be wiped off his face. Now, if someone said hey it should be purple/white/light blue instead of yellow, I could see that as I remember him actually having those belts that color. Mattel's belts bother more from a size/shape perspective. The belts I've got don''t curve enough, and tend not to fit the figures very well... so I use Jakks/Toybiz belts instead.

First off, Bill from Mattel has said that it was totally his choice to give L6 Warrior a yellow winged eagle. I must admit I too belong in the accuracy basket. I think it is a terrible decision. Yes I would love a yellow winged eagle and am still getting the L6 Warrior but as a MOC collector really wished it was more accurate. In an ideal world i would have liked to see him with full facepaint(as he is) with a yellow IC belt and then the variant of the set it would have been cool to have him with faded facepaint with both the yellow IC and black winged eagle (like he ended the match). Also just to clear up the whole "the yellow winged eagle never existed" debate. It actually did exist. It was made for Warrior, but never made TV. It was used for a couple house shows but that was it. Here is a link to a pic of it sabiksamagazine.com/wrestling/wwe-title-belts-through-the-years/attachment/winged-eagle-yellow-and-white/

1) The complaints are getting horrid.
2) I am sure that rumored Bret Figure will have a Black Title

I don't like the belt either, but for me its not because of the design, its because I can't fit the damn belt around any figure's waist because the holes are too small, which really drives me crazy

To me, if it didn't make TV, it didn't exist. If this figure was based on his yellow belt house show appearance, fine, include it, but it isn't, so don't.
Quite simply, if Mattel makes a figure with an event-specific attire, it should come with the correct accessories, in this case, a yellow IC belt, not some amalgamation based on the whim of the design team.
I guess I'm afraid of this being the beginning of a slippery slope where Mattel deems what actually happened as not being interesting or colorful enough and just changes things to suit their liking.

Did I hope in the Delorean and go back in time 6-8 months ago?
This has already been discussed and argued to death.

I totally agree with your point about the belts being chunky and not fitting correctly. I hate this about the belts.

Yes but i held hopes that this as just an error in translation when the orders were sent to China and fully expected that Mattel being as keen on detail as they have been would have immediateness corrected. Yes i know we will get a black winged eagle down the road and am not worried much about missing that. I am more upset that we might not get a yellow IC title.
