Elite series series 8 just showed up at stores near me this week. Who the hell knows when series 9 will hit... forget about 10!
With the WFIGS code, you're barely paying above retail to order your figures from Ringside. I just put in a pre-order for series 10 (no Yoshi). I didn't want Yoshi anyway, so that was a great deal for me!
If they ever show up in stores, I'll get a second Big Show for the extra set of titles.
Now I hope I can find Zack Ryder and Miz for a lower price. I should have jumped on those earlier. I've given up waiting for these sets to appear in stores. I'll be ordering from Ringside from now on.

Yeah, unless you like to wait several months for sets to appear in retail, it seems to be much better to just pay a smaller bit extra to receive items quickly.

I have to agree with you there. I figure I will just have to bite the bullet and order every item from them. I have bought my most wanted there and hoped to find the others in store. Big mistake that was, I wonder if I will ever get a Gallows, Eve or the Nexus 2 packs.
I am tired of going in to TRU and seeing Elite Wave 4 or 5 and Walmarts case after case of Elite 7. When I was younger I used to enjoy the "thrill of the hunt" so to speak, now I just get irritated.

It's real simple, if money is an issue and/or you have the patience of Job - then wait until your local big box store gets in a shipment (if they even bother to order newer stuff due to shelf warmers clogging precious shelf space).
But I'd rather pre-order from RSC as soon as I can for many reasons. Pre-Order prices are always cheaper than when the stock finally arrives (got Big Show @ $24.99 pre-ordered, as opposed to $39.99 when he was in stock - supply & demand fellas). Stock arrives months earlier on the overnight boat from China (yes you're paying for this service). And living in Toronto (8 hours from RSC's headquarters in NYC) I literally get my UPS shipment within days of arrival.
Always pre-order if you can!

Elite 9 came out here about three or four weeks ago. Elite 8 came out a week or two after RSC got them -- I know, because I paid stupid online prices for them, and wished I hadn't.
Basic and Two-Packs 10 came out about six-eight weeks ago here. Two-packs 11 is out at retail here this week or next. There's not a great gap between online and retail for me, so in future, I'm going to wait and only use the Internet for exclusive type stuff or stuff that's hard to get here.

If it's something I can't wait for (Usually all Legends, DM, Triple H, Orton) I'll order from RSC

Yeah, I try to order from RSC as much as I can. I only live about 3 hours away, so I get my shipments in the day after they ship. I couldn't ask for anymore!
Sure, it's a bit extra, but for that little bit, I don't have to go driving around for them, so I save the gas, and they come in faster than anyone else gets them.
Personally, I agree with you, and I feel that the prices are not that bad when you factor in the discount, plus your paying for it to arrive at your house, and to get them 2-3 months earlier than stores.

I've never bought from RSC. I've found every figure I've wanted from my local retail stores, and I'm happy to know that I didn't spend extra money for a figure that I can just wait for in stores.

my biggest problem is I need to see the item before I buy it. I don't want to pay for something only to get it with a sloppy paint job.

Actually when I order a complete set of Legends and use the discount it's only a couple dollars more than what I pay for my second set at mass retail.

I will continue to pre-order figures of my favorite wrestlers from RSC cos the prices are pretty reasonable til the figure gets popular. Other than that I am happy to wait for retail for wrestlers I am not really a fan of but has an awesome figure eg I got an Elite 8 Sheamus for $15.99 today and pleased I waited.

I agree with this. The only Mattel figure I've bought from RSC is the Rey Mysterio exclusive. I ordered from them a lot when Jakks had the license because TRU was the only place in my area that restocked Jakks figures regularly. I just don't see the point with Mattel though. The only figure I've never seen in stores is Natalya from series 9. I ended up ordering her from Amazon for just a dollar or two more than the retail price. To me, it isn't worth paying the extra money just to get it a few weeks earlier. If my area stores start getting way behind or start skipping series, then I wll order from them again. Until then, I'll stick to retail and Mattel Shop.

This, the prices aren't the problem, It's the shipping that kills me ($9.05).So i can just wait to they hit stores as i always find what i need.

I order from Ringside 99% of the time unless its a repaint of a basic or PPV series figure or an elite of a person i already have an elite of like Ted Dibiase from Elite 10 which I'll just wait for the store to get to find because i'm sure he won't be very popular (like elite 2)

I do from time to time, but I have always found everything at retail so I'm never worried about missing out on anything. The thing that prevents me from pre-ordering more is how they make you pay for everything upfront. If they did it like spam does...I'd buy everything from RSC.

I don't use RSC that much because I usually find what I'm looking for at retail. When I don't, I'll check RSC or online retailers and go with whichever one is cheaper.

Some of us do not have the luxury of time...to me, it's worth a bit extra to get and enjoy the items rather than spend the the time, money and fuel HOPING to find them.
Time is money IMHO. Plus, Ringside Ben is pretty fantastic.

I really envy those that find everything they need at retail. If I only bought what was in stores around here I would have a pretty poor looking collection.
