So I haven't been able to sit down and watch TNA for a while now (barely able to keep up with Raw anymore)...but I have a friend and she really digs TNA and so I wanted to take her to the house show here in Ft. Wayne tonight. We went and it was a pretty awesome experience.
She got to get a pic taken with Mickie James who was really sweet and it made my friends night.
(Spoilers?) There were some good matches and they said they were filming a couple matches for the Bound For Glory Series or something like that. Of which, Crimson beat Pope, AJ beat Jarrett and Gunner beat D-Von. (End spoilers)
The main event was Anderson/Angle non-title and Angle won. We got our pic taken afterwards with Angle and he was really cool. I bought her a program and she got it signed by Beer Money, Kaz, Jarrett and both Hebners...
All in all the entire experience was awesome and was definitely better than the WWE house shows I've been too. We had a lot of fun, I got to spend an evening with a beautiful young woman and TNA definitely knows how to treat their fans.
But the biggest thing I learned tonight? A lot of pro wrestlers are really, really, really short...okay, not midget short but -- I'm 5'6" so I'm not tall at all, but most of them were hardly more than 5'8-6'0...if that. I was pretty shocked by that. Still, great experience. Was definitely worth the 120 bucks spent total on the evening.

Sucker... Anyways, yes I have been to two TNA house shows... both have blown WWE out of the water in terms of fan interaction. Funny story about the second one I went to. As Mickie James was coming out I almost backed into the dick security guard. If you've ever been to a TNA house show you know the dude I am talking about. Anyways, this douche bag was like WATCH YOUR BACK... I dunno why it pissed me off so much but it did. Probably because of the overall deemeaner of the dude everytime I see him. I was not about to get arrested over a wrestling show though. ... I should add when I say almost backed into him I thought I was a good distance away... guess he did not.. I think he has a hard on because he thinks he has a little power... had he put his hands on me though I would have choked him out being that I know a little BJJ... Anyways... my main point is the worst thing at TNA house shows is security...and JB

Man, I always hear great things about the TNA live shows. I wish they'd come to California at least once, I'd love to go . Anyway, I'm glad you had a good time man. I thought it was pretty funny that some of the Wrestlers are under 6'0 haha. I'm 5'10 1/2 so that'd be pretty funny if I was taller than some of them .

I went to a TNA house show in Ft Wayne no less and it was terrible. The shortest most simplistic matches possible. Won't be trying it again.

They went a decent amount tonight. Show started at exactly 7:30 and ended just after 10. 7 Matches total plus intermission.
And a 120 dollars is nothing in the grand scheme of things, if not for the effort of trying to make said girl more than just a friend. That's not being a sucker my man, that's called investing in the future.
I had read on here that the security guards were kind of dicks so I was hesitant around a couple of them, but they must have been having a good night cause even they were really cool. They were joking around and what not with us. Everyone seemed to just be having fun.
As for the "spoilers" Idk if they're actually considered spoilers or not. They said they were matches being taped for next Thursday but -- I never saw any cameras...and Idk if JB's Iphone counts...overall, it was a really good experience. I personally recommend checking a show out if you have the chance.

Dallas, I'm pretty sure TNA will be doing a tour out west in October. I know that they'll have some sort of show at SDCC, so I would expect them to run one or two others.

I was totally gonna go to Comic Con this year too . That sucks. How much do tickets usually cost for an okay seat though?

I paid less than 40 bucks a ticket and we were right up against the railing where they come out. Really decent seats for the price...

TNA house shows are great. Really enjoy them. I liked your comments about the height of the wrestlers. haha. I'm 15, and I was every bit as tall as Jeff Jarrett. I want to be a wrestler when I get older, and I was always worried about being tall enough.
And I agree about the security guard. He's a total douchebag. And JB is too.

I spent a couple months in wrestling school (had to quit unfortunately due to schedule getting so busy) but it was a blast, I was giving serious consideration to cutting some major weight and pursuing it seriously...my desire to do so has been reinvigorated given that most of the wrestlers I saw this night (with the exception of Abyss and Crimson)...were all at most only 4 inches taller than me...
