I love it ;D I love how he has the crazy joker feel and yet snaps into seriousness and will beat you down. the segment with eric at the start of impact was enjoyable, i normally skip tna segments and watch the wrestling but i really want to see more of sting. Anyone feel the same, is there one thing you do/dont agree with as far as his character/actions go. im diggin' Sting better than his just plain old' (now boring) serious save tna sting. as far as i remember he's been 100%serious about old wrestling, respect, disrespectful young guys, hogan and erics disease, but this i must say is a nice mix-up.

Sting sure likes to rip off movie personas. First the Crow, now the Joker.

I'm loving it. When I first saw his new look at Slammiversary, the red singlet and tights were amazing colour choices, and his face paint was the best I've ever seen it. At that exact point I said, "hey he looks a bit like the Joker", mainly because the facepaint was a bit more hap-hazard and applied with his fingers rather than a brush. The next Impact he again had the same look, and I loved his crazy persona, glad he's still reinventing himself, which keeps things fresh and interesting. I read this weeks spoilers and they said he is going all out Joker facepaint, which I can't wait to see.

I like it too, but should have been done in the WWE with The Undertaker this past Mania, Sting realllly messed up his chance, a shame, true shame...

Come on Sting/Taker would have been epic promos and build, but the match would have sucked. I for one didn't like the HHH/Taker match nearly as well as most people did. I thought it dragged, and they did nothing for way to long at different points. Plus the ending was so crappy. I don't care what anyone says the ending was weak.

Sting should have taken a job with WWE, had a few fantasy matches and then either took behind the scenes job or went back home. The more time he's in TNA the more I just watch his amazing legacy dwindle away.

First of all you're not reinventing yourself if you are ripping off a movie.
Secondly... why does Sting continue to rip off movies 2-3 years after they've left the box office?
I could see doing The Crow when it was in it's prime in but to rip it off 3 years after the fact ...come on....
Same thing goes for the whole Joker thing. I could see doing it back in 07 or 08 whenever the movie came out..but to do it now..when the movie is more or less an after thought is stupid...
Atleast they are not as out of touch with things as Vince is...

if anything he retained his legacy by sticking to his word and never working under vince. Exactly. His legacy is being the biggest star never to work for Vince, he would ruin it by going to the WWE. The WWE is not the end all be all of wrestling organizations.

He reminds me of a combo of Jack from The Shining and The Joker. ITs good to see something new and different from Sting. He's been doing the same thing for years so its good to see a change up

First of all you're not reinventing yourself if you are ripping off a movie. SHUT UP! I couldn't possibly care less that he's "ripping off" a movie persona. If this is his new persona/gimmick, it's fine by me and what seems like most of the forum. If you wanna whine and cry about this, do it somewhere else.

You mad. Also, how can I shut up when I am typing on an internet forum. I like how you say go whine and cry about it some where as well. We are here for a discussion and I am discussing why I do not like it. Seems when anyone has a different opinion then someone else they are quick to blow up and tell someone to piss off. Wahhh you don't like *insert whatever here* and we all do. This is a forum for discussing things but GTFO if you are going to have a difference of opinion WAHHHH.

Actually he IS reinventing himself, he's adding a different element to his gimmick and it is refreshing since we aren't seeing the same character that we have for the last 5 years. Even if he is appyling ideas from a movie, it isn't stealing. If he's drawing inspiration from another source and it isn't harming anyone, then why bitch and moan about it? How do you feel about Jericho applying an element of Clint Eastwood's character from No Country For Old Men, for when he turned heel in 2008? Jericho was reinventing himself then and became one of the best heels on the roster. The thing is you come across as one of the most pessimistic members on here, and your comments aren't backed up with anything other than short insults or put-downs. So don't be surprised with the comments directed to you.

Jericho took one part of his character and made it his own. There's a big difference when Jericho took inspiration from a character who was cold and calculating and combined it with other elements. What Sting is doing is basically trying to be the Joker, in some way, a lovable anti-hero. Face paint and all, he's pretty much trying to be the Joker. I'm not saying I hate it. Kudos to Sting for doing something different. Honestly on the whole ripping off thing, it's pro wrestling. If something isn't being ripped off in a way they're getting really creative or really lazy. 9/10 it's really lazy, so at least something is changing.
