According to RC they are in stock Mid July, Its July 4th & still no images, how can people place an order when you cant even see what you are purchasing?
I am worried this series will be delayed ever longer the Mid July at this rate.
Any Idea if mattel are holding this series uP?
Thanks

Why would I be worried.? They'll show up on time. Mattel just isn't showing anything until SDCC with is July 21-24. The set will still be out on time. They've done this before. I found Batman Begins figures at my local mom & pop pharmacy the week before Mattel showed them at the NYC Toy Fair that year. So just because they aren't showing something doesn't mean they aren't shipping them.

I fully expect Ringside to have these in stock before SDCC, just my guess. Unless Ringside gets proto picks then the first images we see are the pictures they take when they get the actual stock. It's July 4th, Mid July is like the 15thish, why are you worried already? If it's any later than that then we will see them at SDCC so you get to see them either way.
You do realize we don't even have a lineup for Legends 6 yet right? At least you have confirmed names with the Basic set already.

I agree that it makes no sense to wait until sdcc to show these particular figs because if they come out on time (according to rsc) then people will already have them in hand before their big reveal. Mattel isn't going to ne debuting them, some guy on a message board will be. They'll just be waiting until sdcc to show us something we've already seen.

I don't see us not being able to see them at all until SDCC... They'll surely be in stock before that and more than likely people will receive them before that... So, even if RSC doesn't post pics, someone on here will. Otherwise, RSC would've made the pre-order for late-July.

Remember RSC gets them early because they have them shipped overnight via air. Mass retail won't have them until after SDCC...so I'm sure to most people at the Con that will be the first time seeing them remember not everyone knows/uses RSC.

They will probably do the same as the Summerslam Heritage figs, wait til the day they come in stock to give MOC pics, and skip the loose pics.

People on here need to realize that Ringside doesn't have any control as to when prototype images are released. With Mattel, quite often we won't see protos for sets until very close to the release date if we do at all. The reason for that is because Mattel doesn't send Ringside proto images for their product to use very often. Ringside has to rely on the same places we do like Facebook & other websites to get the protos. As some of you know I'm an avid collector of prototype images and I have been for many years. I've had many a talks with both Jon & Tom at RSC and they both told me that Mattel does not supply them with proto images most of the time. I've actually supplied them with some of the more recent proto images that I've come across by doing some searching online to use on the site. This is also the reason why a lot of the times you actually see me posting the protos here on the board and not RSC themselves...because I've come across them and had to send them to Ringside because they never got them.
The reason we got Jakks protos pretty early is because they actually uploaded all their prototype images to a server where their vendors could get them from. So as soon as Jakks uploaded the protos to the server any vendor with access could download them and post them on their site. Mattel doesn't have such a place. So unless they physically send them to the vendor via email or another means, the vendors have no way to post the images. That is why the first pics of a set we see are usually the pics of the product samples Ringside gets a few weeks before the actual set is in stock. But with Mattel being tight lipped on their line until SDCC I'm guessing Ringside isn't getting a sample set of Basic 12 to post pics of.
So I wouldn't worry too much about not seeing images this close to the release date. The set will probably still be in stock in mid July and we'll get the first images then. But just for future reference if you even wonder why we aren't seeing proto images of a set the reason is right here. Mattel simply just doesn't supply them to their vendors very often.
