From all these articles being posted about Punk. WWE is hoping for big buy rates for this next PPV, building that off of Punk's actions on Raw, with the intention of carrying the Punk story. People have been trending on ROH's own Colt Cabana. My thought is that, maybe WWE is going old school like when ECW invaded RAW. I dont think my guess it too hard to believe I mean how many people thought The Rock would never return? or Taz would never go to WWE or Hogan, Flair, Kurt, Hardy would never go to TNA. I think its safe to say...

It wouldnt be as good as most of the fans will be like who is that and if youre using current wwe guys like bryan and bourne it wouldnt really be an invasion if theyre already there

They could even go by their original names (Matt Sydal and Bryan Danielson) --- It'd be cool, and good for both companies. I'd probably be a lot more interested in Professional Wrestling as a whole. The thing is...ECW was seen as a ruthless, extreme party. They were made to be dangerous. I'm not sure how ROH would be represented. Perhaps as...an elite group of wrestlers? I'm not sure how McMahon would feel about that...

WWE gains nothing from working with ROH.

I could see Punk winning the belt at MITB and then someone cashing it in on him.
He'd then be finished with his contract (in storyline) and return with a few ROH guys to "invade" raw.
I mean, he's already been the leader of Nexus and it's not working and ROH is facing financial issues. I could see McMahon throwing ROH a bone and I think it's great if he does.

I don't see the point. Fans won't care about some nobody promotion full of wrestlers they've never heard of/seen before. It would only benefit ROH and would do nothing for the WWE.

I would much rather have CM Punk just win the WWE title and then defend it in ROH or other indy promotions as part of a major storyline, but knowing WWE, that would never happen. I'm almost 99.9% sure Punk will just lose at MITB and another storyline will come to a disappointing end.

That only worked because if I remember correct, WWE was in Philadelphia that night.

To be honest i'm not sure ROH would even go for this? I mean they've just crowned new TV and World champs and have got the new deal with Sinclair Broadcasting with a new TV deal. It just seems really odd timing.
However WWE does have a lot of ex-ROH stars on their books.
CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Matt Sydal, Colt Cabana, Tyler Black. At a push they could even bring back Teddy Hart (I know i'd go mental). Like the new Generation Next.
It'd kick ass, but i doubt it will ever happen.

I'm sure a lot of us would love to see it, sure it already happened back with ECW, but considering how often WWE recycles storylines, this would be a cool one to rehash. It'd provide us with something unique at least. WWE gets a storyline that will generate interest and RoH gets mainstream exposure.

Well, you have to remember, back when they did the original 1997 ECW invasion, most casual WWE fans didn't know who they were. You could do an ROH invasion today, and it wouldn't be any different in that respect.

This would work out much better say if Punk took the title on the 17th back to ROH and Daniel Bryan went back and won it back. Or Christian or someone that the casual ROH audience would like to see.

Most people I know don't know what the hell ROH is. The only people that would be excited about something like this is.....well, us. I don't think it would work out anyway.

i was hoping something like this would happen with the recent roh signings and rumors. people say that nobody knows anyone from roh, but i think that's a good thing. here you have these people you know nothing about showing up on a wwe pay per view, and let's say they cost cena the title. that would further the storyline if this is all a work.
look at the nexus for example, they were just a bunch of nobodies on nxt and look what the wwe did with them.
