Shame.
Depressing and artistic. Fassbender and Mulligan were good though.

Watched Friday Night Lights for the first time since about high school..
Man, is this movie depressing.. I feel sorry for kids like this that put all of their life and soul into high school football and bank on nothing else.. Surrounded by people telling them that nothing else in life matters after high school.
What a terrible message for a 16-17 year old young kid that might be impressionable while watching this.. Thinking that AFTER high school, life is basically auto pilot.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising
My God. This was terrible.. Truly, truly terrible.
This was easily the worst movie Seth Rogen has ever done.. Completely unnecessary.. Just bad.. Bad, bad, BAD.
I enjoyed the first one quite a bit.. But this one just missed the mark by a couple miles..
Yuck. Gross..
Ugh, I wish this movie didn't exist.

Bad Boys (1983)

"Blackhawk Down" last night. Always brings out a ton of emotions whenever I watch it.
And today I watched "They Live"
Both are movies I watch numerous times every year.

The Shawshank RedemptionWhat a remarkable movie this is. This is one of those movies that hooks you in so much emotionally that i was practically cheering at the end of it. Amazing performances all around in this one and a real journey through the emotions. Fantastic. The GodfatherYou know what? The first time I saw this movie I wasn't fussed at all, I appreciated that when it was released it was probably groundbreaking but I just didn't enjoy it. However this time I was absolutely gripped, I get it now. It was paced so well, the characters fascinating superb acting. This is genius storytelling. A true epic. The Godfather: Part IISo you can imagine my excitement for part two after enjoying the first one so much... And meh. The stuff with Michael was really good and I enjoyed it. As far as I'm concerned though Vito's backstory (and let me just say, De Niro's performance as Vito was outstanding) was just unnecessary and made the film a slog for me. Still a good movie but I wasn't keen on the pacing. Belter of an ending though! The Dark KnightThis is probably my favourite movie of all time. It just never gets old. Action packed, fantastic storytelling, cool and my god Ledger's portrayal of the Joker never ceases to amaze me. Whatever your interpretation of the Joker is after reading the comics, Ledger's Joker has to be admired. Truly remarkable performance.

The Departed. Astounding to think it's almost a decade since this was released...such an awesome film. I watched this again too on Netflix recently. Probably one of Scorcese's finest imo.

The Expendables 2.
'Male macho bulls**t' at its finest. Fun, violent and all that good stuff.
