For those of you who are blink-182 fans, I'm sure the news has already found you, but in the chance that it hasn't, blink-182 debuted the single off of their as-of-yet untitled new record.
It's called "Up All Night".
I recommend clicking through the video to listen at a higher quality, but maybe that's just me.
Thoughts?
As blink fan of 11+ years this is a pretty big deal, to finally hear new music after so long. I like it, but there's an overwhelming Angels & Airwaves quality to it that I can't get over, particularly the layering of Tom's voice in the bridge.

Just heard this for the first time a little while ago, listened to it a few times though and still not sure how I feel about it. The first thing that really stuck out to me was Tom's Angels & Airwaves "voice", which really isn't something I love...but at the same time, it's not the worst thing ever. I don't know what to expect out of these guys on this upcoming CD, but this song is pointing in a positive direction, definitely. They've been my favorite band since I was 10 years old, I'll give anything they put out a solid chance lol.

From my Twitter:
This song is ridiculously bland. I expected little and got it.

I'ma pretty big blink fan, and I really want to like this track, but I can't. Sounds far too much like Angels and Airwaves for my taste.

LTYT.com, here I come. Pretty good stuff. I never really listened to AVA so I can't draw a comparison, but this is good stuff.

It does sound a lot like Angels & Airwaves, but I don't have a problem with that at all. Can't wait for this album to come out!

Congrats to Blink-182 for proving that they should only play old stuff.

I wish they did another album like the self titled one. I know a lot of people didn't care for it, but that one was pretty awesome

Around the one minute mark I was like, "Are you sure this is a blink 182 song?" Sounds a lot like Angels & Airwaves but I still absolutely love this. I can't wait for their new album.

I wish they did another album like the self titled one. I know a lot of people didn't care for it, but that one was pretty awesome I don't understand why that CD got so much hate. I think a lot of people were expecting "old" blink, with joke tracks and stuff, but I really liked the more mature, deeper songs the self titled CD had to offer. One of my favorites.

I've seen a lot of hate online for it since it's release, and I have quite a few friends who are Blink fans and can't stand the CD. Personally, I thought it was unbelievable, but to each their own I guess.

It was a pretty drastic change and many didn't see it coming. Even after eight years, a lot of people just can't seem to get over that. With that being said, my favorite Blink era/sound was always Take Off Your Pants and Jacket. I think that record is the perfect mix of the penis joke Blink we came to love, and the serious side they explored on the self-titled.
