What do guys actually prefer to watch and what would you like WWE to show more of going forward - Promos or Wrestling?
Last night’s WWE Raw had a bunch of solid wrestling matches, Only a couple in-ring promos and a handful of short backstage interviews. (The perfect formula for a wrestling show, Agree?) *Minus the Divas match - WWE needs to fix that*
At Money in the Bank CM Punk and John Cena had 30+ minuet Main event match that people are calling match of the year, and the overall event had much more wrestling than promos (But this was a PPV so there usually aren’t many in-ring promos anyway) The matches and build were great for this event and it is being considered by the majority to be the best Pay Per View event WWE has presented in YEARS! *Again… Minus the Divas match - WWE needs to fix that*
Shows in the past have been criticised of ‘wasting too much time’ with promos and backstage segments when the time could of been used for actual matches.
Last night the show had a series of tournament matches so obviously it was going to have more wrestling than the average WWE Raw, with the only major promos being the only ones which were really needed - The ones with Vince McMahon.
But the majority of fans on here weren’t happy with last nights show, presenting an attitude of “Little more, Little more, Little more… too much take it back”.
So WWE can’t seem to do anything right without most people finding something wrong.
Anyway… time for the question to settle the score, and Yes… most people will say they wan’t a combination of the two aspects - Because a combination of time given to both building story-lines and developing characters and time given to wrestling matches is how a WWE show should be.
But if you had to choose…
Promos or Wrestling?

Depends who's doing the Promos. If it was 2 hours of Punk talking, I'd never miss a show.

it was a night of all wrestling, but it was a night of mostly average, emotionless wrestling. thats what made it feel like too much. i'm not about more wrestling time, i'm about better wrestling. give me better wrestling and some nice promo work inbetween and i'm a happy camper.

Gimme a mixture of both and I'm happy. I mean, hell, we had that on SuperStars of Wrestling each Saturday back in the late 80's and early 90's and that show was only one hour long!

I've decided either, as long as the match or promo involves a person/ people that I relatively care about. I find myself enjoying most of what WWE put out these days.
For instance I think I could watch Punk, Cena and Mr. McMahon talk for half the show and enjoy it. On the other hand if it's The Miz telling us almost in slow-motion that he's going to be the next W...W...E... Champion! then keep it at 5 minutes (Yeah yeah he's good, but he's not that good).
Likewise I find matches involving Punk, Cena, Del Rio, Mysterio, Kingston etc etc. entertaining usually. 1-minute divas matches and The New Nexus defending their tag titles always makes for the most mundane wrestling of the week.
Wrestling match after wrestling match after wrestling match doesn't entertain me though. Hence I'm a WWE fan. It was the entertainment aspect that truly drew me in to WWE. That's why I don't watch Indy wrestling, people may say Independent companies provide some of the best wrestling/ wrestlers in the world but there's so much more to WWE than wrestling.

Wrestling. I am a wrestling fan.
THOUGH, there are some guys who can cut amazing promos, which are enjoyable, but I'm in it for the wrestling.

I'm more into the actual entertainment aspect of wrestling, so I prefer the promos and backstage segments.

I voted wrestling but I need both to be happy. Punk/Cena promos leading to and the match at Money In The Bank proved what WWE is capable of. Del Rio's promo last night was good, saying WWE needs a new leader. So if you give me both, I'm more than happy. Plus, the unpredictability of money in the Bank is what WWE needs more of, as well as the intriguing buildup.

This pretty much sums up my thought process. I love promos, I love wrestling, but they both have to be on point to work. There was lots of wrestling last night but I only cared for the Ziggler vs Rey match, and I really wanted to like all of those matches. I don't think you can pick one or the other, I think you have to have both to have a great show.

Coming from a night of wrestling that was apparently amazing...to the Raw I saw, where pretty much the PPV didn't matter at all...a night of 'just wrestling' was not needed.
A night of storytelling and frustration was.

I'm more into the actual entertainment aspect of wrestling, so I prefer the promos and backstage segments. i'm with this guy. if you are only into it for the wrestling i guess there's other companies that would please you much, much more. I can't get into a match without any build, call me a drama queen but i need some emotion going into it!

hard to say. Take last night , lots of wrestling but the hottest angle in the WWE was left out so much. no Punk promo did not help. SHoudl be more wrestling with some promos that matter

This is a stupid argument that will never end.
Do we want more wrestling? Yes. But when we say that, we want more GOOD matches with FRESH match-ups, that last more than 4 MINUTES.
Now in the case of last night's RAW, it was the worst possible time to "give us more wrestling". It all depends on what the situation calls for. You can't come off such an impressive show (MITB) with that excuse for a RAW. the same damn people, wrestling multiple 3-4 minute matches, when all everyone wanted was ANSWERS. they totally swept the Punk buzz under the rug and left what has to be a bad taste in the casual fans mouth. they had people watching MITB that had no idea it wasn't just a horrible Lil' Scrappy song, and with the quality of that show I promise you they tuned into RAW, and no less than 10 minutes in, they turned it off.
And just for the record, you people need to stop saying "you'll never be happy, blah blah blah", "we wanted more wrestling and you got it blah blah bullcrap". There's a difference between being critical of the product and being cynical.

A good mix of both SPREAD out. Last night the matches were fantastic...except the one with Miz and Ary (ary is a little rusty). HOWEVER the beginning and end of the show were lack luster.

I enjoyed last night, but I felt the tourney results were predictable, so it was a bit deflating to watch.
Give me 90% quality wrestling and 10% quality Promos/Backstage and I'm a happy camper.

Promos tbh, as good as Cena/Punk was, I was way more interested in the ending than i was about the match, so i was just waiting for it to end

Wrestling but not too much because at times I was board with the matches last night.
There really were not any great matches and there were like 6 of them.
Best for me was Rey/Dolph.

RAW/SD should be about the promos and storylines, building matches for the PPV's. The PPV's should be all about wrestling.
