wow this sucks....6 legends per year?!? Just pissed off now We will still get the ones sprinkled in the Elite and DM lines, so really we should still be getting about 12 legends a year, just not in their own series.

BAHAHAHAHA you guys act like its the end of the legends and big corporate company like mattel dunno what there doing compared too young kids input lol you guys cant be serious?? they said there still gonna put 2 in each elite set starting off with Shango and Kane, and you can still buy 6 Legends a year off Matty Collector. i dont see the big deal considering we only get 15 legends at MAX a year as is now. were gonna be getting the same amount just split up so that way they sell better. And who cares if there not hitting retail stores, that just means you gotta order online and actually be guaranteed to get the figure then. Whats so wrong with that? and dont say o i cant get a credit card, cause these days all you gotta do is go to the store and get a pre paid debit card and you can order anything the same as a credit card. I think this is better than having all those crap legends no one wants clogging up our store shelves when we could be making room for better Elites and Basics and accessories to come. Some ppl just sound like such little kids on this board, that when something does not go your way you start having a bitch fit, P.M.S'in all over your keyboard lol get over it, and learn too accept the things you can not change and the future of the company that is too come. Do the math too before ya start bitchin about 6 figs a year, think "Well Hmm im only getting about 15 a year as is now." and 6 plus 2 in each elite set, figure about 5 Elite sets a year thats 5 Multiplied by 2 is 10 plus the 6 on Mattycollector what do we have??? the same dam amount we had every year lol

Not a big deal for me. I only collect certain figures anyway. Popular figures they think will sell seem like they will still be retail anyway (Shango,Kane,Etc).
Like others said it's better than cancelling the line. Legends collecting is a niche market and with this crappy economy it makes sense to me to make it online.

maybe mattel wouldnt lose money if they made legends we actually want. no offence to the all the left over figures in stores now. but get ride of something that really doesnt sell like the basic line, keep the 2-pack i guess..idk about every one else but no one cares about the rumblers ( waste ) and the elites are WAY better than the basics anyways. and those spring action figures the Flex force, dog S*** , why even bother.. bottom line get ride of all Felx force, Basics, basic 2-packs, and Rumblers.. and put the money towards Elites, Legends, DM, and new to store Elite 2-packs...i think they'd sell more that way thn what theyre thinking of now

Even if they wanted to keep it every other month, they could at least expand it to two figures. That, along with the Elite line additions, would help ease the pain a bit.

Well, they just killed the Legends line. The Mattycollectors site sucks. It crashes on every day I've ever ordered stuff from them. AND when something doesnt sell out in a couple of hours its classed as a failure. The Rockers were NOT the best choice to start this off.terrible news for Legends.

I hope there is a limit to how many a single person can purchase. It would suck REAL bad for them to sell out of a guy in a day or two and then never get him back in stock, and then we'd never have a chance to get him elsewhere. That would be horrific.

6 Legends per year is a tough tough pill to swallow... It is indead. Im really hurting. Make it 1 a month atleast and make the Legends that ahip with basics Elite too. You would be putting out nearly 24 Legend figures per year...a line which clearly isnt selling. The way they're doing it is perfect. They're giving us the same amount we've been getting and not getting their pants kicked in by having stuff hang on shelves for months and months.

I only bought Mattel Legends because I got the WM2 scale ring from RSC and wanted to make the order worth it. Although their figures have great detail and what not, having to order then online is a deterrent. For the price of shipping alone, I could have gone to my local store and purchased at least 2 Legends figures for that price. But the selection is piss poor here to begin with. Now they expect me to go strictly online? The only time I'll suck it up is for Macho purely because Jakks didn't make him.
P.S. Please vote for Miss Elizabeth if she's on the list. There hasn't been a Miss Elizabeth figure made since the WCW Macho Man 2-pack in 1999 I believe and the face looks like a Barbie doll. They should focus on figures NOT made by Jakks to get an edge. Hercules Hernandez, Miss Elizabeth and Dino Bravo to name a few. Maybe I'm in the minority.. lol.

Does that mean 6 legends at once or 6 over the course of the year? Sucks...

Everyone seems to be forgetting yes maybe mattycollector is only doing 6 Legends a year but they are being put in the Elite line as well. How many Elite lines come out within a year? About 6? Maybe more? Let's say 6 sets a year come out, two will be in each set so that is 12. Plus Mattel's 6 brings us up to 18 without Defining Moments. If anyone big gets signed Mattel will definitively do them as a Defining Moments figure first. Overall you are getting 18 Legends without Defining Moments. Add defining Moments and you are probably getting about 26-28 a year. Not to mention if the Rockers are being done as a tag team, who is to say Mattel won't release other tag teams as the promotion?

Mattycollector.com was a mess in the early days, and the production runs were small, so things sold out fast. But items last longer now, several days at least for new items, and I've NEVER missed an item I've wanted in 2+ years, even the early short-run items. This is better than NO legends.
