Does that mean 6 legends at once or 6 over the course of the year? Sucks... 6 over the course of a year. (1 every 2 months)... but again, people arent listening to what Ive been explaining. You take the 6 from Mattycollector.com and then the 6 that will come out as part of the Elite line, then take into account RSC Exclusives (they said they would still have them) and any possible Mattycollector.com Exclusives or WWE.com Exclusives and we're going to be getting AT LEAST 12 figures per year...Which is exactly what we would have gotten if Legends line would have continued as normal. Distribution is the only thing that changed.

I'd like to see one tag team release a year. It'd be a good way to get us an extra figure. Also, I hope it does well in 2012, then maybe we'll get a subscription plan in 2013 like He-Man has. I'll be doing my part by buying all of these figures. I'm just sad their weren't more prototypes, but but since they're doing the vote, I understand. I imagine they all at least have computer prototypes, just so they have more time to get them going once the vote is done... Since they said it takes 9 months from start to finish, and the winner would get a march release

Im more then happy to buy Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard and Barry Windham but I dont want Doink or DDP and under a subscription, I would be basically forced to buy those figures.

Well, they just killed the Legends line. The Mattycollectors site sucks. It crashes on every day I've ever ordered stuff from them. AND when something doesnt sell out in a couple of hours its classed as a failure. The Rockers were NOT the best choice to start this off.terrible news for Legends. yeah this is my issue with it...Every Time I have ever looked for something on Matty Collector it is always sold out right away. I guess this is one way to have me stop spending as much money...

Only the completist would want a subscription or someone who would sell their unwanted figures on ebay. I always managed to get my Matty orders through but I find the waiting until noon eastern time U.S. to be really annoying and how many people have jobs without PC access. How many people are shopping on company time ;D? I would imagine RSC would get some. spamS carries MOTUC, they mark up the $20 figure to $34.99.

Be prepared to pay astronomical secondary market prices if you aren't able to get through Mattycollector the day they come out.

They said six legends per year, but that's not including DM figures and the Legends that appear in the regular Elite line, though, right? That's not THAT bad all things considered, IMO.

yikes.... which is why i dont like the mattycollector route, rsc will raise the price on whatev shipment they get of said legend, and if you cant buy the fig before it gets sold out on matty, and its sold out on rsc then if your lucky enough to find it on ebay you might end up paying the same as a set for one figure. sounds stressful to me ..... i hope mattel makes them in large enough quantitys

We get more like 6 a year so that's 12 plus the 6 on mattycollector as well as Defining Moments and exclusives.

..... i hope mattel makes them in large enough quantitys That's a good question for Mattel because the first few releases may be a learning process to determine the correct quantity they can sell.

This is the stupidest move on behalf of Mattel. Now where getting less Legends per year which means some Legends may not get produced at all. So it seems that Mattels legends offering is never going to be as complete as what Jakks did with the CS line since the legends line has been cut back servely. I still find it remarkable that Jakks managed 28 series of the CS line and Mattel have surrendered at 6 sets of legends. Lol...

Well... from what I can gather, we'll be getting: - 6 online exclusives a year (from Matty.com) - 2 in every Elite Series (that's 12 a year) - about 8 Defining Moments figures a year So that's 26 Legends figures a year. And look at it this way: if the Legends line continued to be released 4 per-series, 4 series a year... we're actually getting more Legends figures this way. Sure, the online ones might be a pain to order and a bit more expensive... but aren't they worth it? This line is great and the figures will be awesome (just look at that Andre!).

I dont collect but select names from the current roster so I dont know the exact details of how they're released.

I am not a fan of this move at all. I am a teacher and there is no way I can get on at noon and try to order these figures. Therefore, if they sale out in a couple of hours, I have no chance at getting them.
I also believe this is going to make collecting them even more expensive. I've been able to get every Legends figure series 1-5 at retail for around $15-$17. Now, we're looking at paying $25-$30 per figure when you add in shipping and the inevitable price hike for it being an exclusive. I honestly believe that is an insane price for one figure, no matter how great the detail/quality.

This really does suck, i mean at that rate we'll only get a couple of figures a year which will ultimately kill the line.

Now: 12 figures in the Elite Series and 6 online exclusives (TOTAL=18) Before: 4 figures a series, 4 series a year (TOTAL=16) Not to mention 6 or 8 Defining Moments figures a year...

Some people just don't know how to do math lol.
Mattel is just releasing Legends in a different way since this year their strategy didn't work and Legends ending up at TRU for $7.47.

I don`t mind guys like the Doink the Clown being available only on Bratty Matty.com as long as guys like Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, Diesel, Big Bossman, Yokozuna, etc get released at retail like Papa Shango is via Defining Moments, Elites, PPVs Basics Etc. I actually worries me to see guys like Andre and DDP via Matty.com as it makes it less likely to eventually see them at retail. This completely screws over international fans such as myself.
