Muraco had a couple figures over the years. the LJN and then the CS7 figure, but he is my top want on the Mattel poll

i'm not one to discount the opinion of others, but i really really find it hard to believe that Bundy would get the most votes.
but this is completely what i expected - a skewed result. the idea that you can vote unlimited times for as few or as many choices as you like has completely ruined the point of having a poll.
i know no system would be perfect in keeping away vote-cheats, but seriously mattel, you could have at least TRIED to make the voting fair. (e.g. not allow unlimited voting and require a valid email)
personally i'm voting responsibly - once per day. sure, my choices might not win. but at the end of the day mattel needs to make the figures that are most wanted by the masses, in order to make profit, and in order to CONTINUE the legends figures.
you people who are voting a million times a day, and thinking your opinion on who deserves to be made is more valid than anyone elses... sure, you may succeed in skewing the vote and getting the figures you want. but then what? unless you buy the same number of figures as the times you multi-voted, the sales won't match the poll results. therefore, mattel won't make enough profits, and the Legends line will be in trouble again.
bottom line is, with the legends situation how it is... however deserving someone is, however important someone is... it doesn't matter. whichever superstars are MOST WANTED by the masses should be made. at least while the legends line gets back on it's feet anyway.

If those are the potential legends, bye bye to the line.

DDP is right where he needs to be. Bundy, Liz, AA, Muraco and Magnum would be the five I'd choose.

How the is Savio Vega a legend? in that he's not part of current WWE the term Legends is simply the name of the toy line

I'm not upset by that list at all, though a little surprised by Bundy.
I guess I shouldn't be, he was a really big star at a big time and did a lot of crossover work in mainstream TV.
There are some I would have preferred, but Magnum is there and he's my number one want. I just hope we get all the others down the line too.

Mattel is a lot smarter then all of us. They know exactly what they're doing. Bundy and Liz are two top wants on the list. To no surprise, they're leading. Arn is going to be right there because he crosses over into multiple eras and generations. Now here's where Mattel outsmarts all of the kiddies, I love Tully Blanchard but I know a bunch of children would rather have pretty colors then an actual wrestler. Mattel knows this as well and knowing that Tully probably wouldnt sell well on his own, they're going to package him with or as close to Arn as possible. 90% of the people that buy Arn (which will be a lot) are going to see Tully follow closely afterwards in same matching attires. Probably with a WWF Tag Belt, Tshirt or Jacket....and those 90% are going to buy Tully too!! Why? because its smart business.
Crush not being on there is for one of 2 reasons. 1st) the fact that every place that has series 4 has Demolition clogging up the shelves and 2nd) For those that have bought Demolition, they know that no matter when they release Crush, they're going to buy him. Guys like Farooq, Savio Vega, Tito Stantana, Don Muraco and Doink...Just arnt in high demands. People fail to realize the figure world doesnt surround Wrestlingfigs. On the numerous wrestling forums Im on, most people are raving about guys like Magnum TA, Liz and Bundy. NOT Doink.
As for DDP, Im betting he'll be released in Jan '13. He's popular and will probably sell. The demand is again high enough where they know they can release him whenever. They dont have to rush it out. These figures are exclusives now, not mass retail. They're not trying to convince a bunch of kids to talk mommy into buying them pretty wrestling figures. They're going after hardcore older collectors with deep pockets and money to burn. Mattel is doing exactly a smart business job. LOL!

Like the results and would definitely buy these five... and the remaining 12 ;-) I'm surprised Bundy is leading though I don't doubt he'll be a great figure. DDP seems like a better Flashback choice so I wonder if that's why he's not getting more votes?

I'm a adult collector and I would take Doink, Crush or Savio Vega any day over any of those names at the top of the list right now (minus Liz). I've got money to spend but not if the line is going to end up like this. With the voting system being abused the end results are not going to be accurate in the least. But I'm sure Mattel will see that when they make all these top vote getting guys and they end up not selling very well.

You REALLY dont think there are people abusing the voting system for all the other figures?? Seriously? I clearly stated where I vote constantly through the day for my top 5...I then reinstated that I do it because I saw where someone was going to do the same thing (voting for figures that are on my lower wants). The poll shows just how close the votes are. I think its obviously stating that all these figures are in high demand. They will sell and sell well and the legends line will still keep on moving on.

I'm just glad Savio Vega isn't in the top 5. That guy is not worthy of a figure in my opinion.

I also like to say that I think it proves that the older fans are what dominates the Legends collections. In all honesty, look at the line up, Anderson, Windham, Magnum, Muraco, Bundy, Snuka, JYD, DiBiase, Liz, OMG, Santana and Blanchard are all for one era. DDP, Savio, Faarooq and Doink are all from another era. The "golden era" vote should technically be split because we're all voting for different people we like. PJ and I agree on a lot but our votes are very much different, where as the younger generation has 5 main guys they can vote for and their votes arnt strong enough to surpass as split older vote. (Im using older/younger just as a stereotype generation, nobody get but hurt and say you're 30 and love doink).

I would really love to see what Mattel would do with Doink. Most of them have had protos already made so i thought for sure Mattel would release them anyway like Arn and Magnum.

I think it would have been more fair to everyone had Mattel just made the choices themselves. They could have just made 2 every other month out of that list with say for example Magnum TA & Crush or DDP & Windham. That would have pleased more people instead of just saying here's a poll, vote and we'll make the top 5.
I mean don't get me wrong I understand a lot of you wanting the older guys. I grew up on 80's wrestling myself but the wrestlers I would buy aren't choices (Backlund, Valentine, Beefcake, Davey Boy Smith, Dynamite Kid, Blair, Brunzell, Roma, Powers, Sherri Martel, Wendi Richter etc).

I just hope Mattel doesnt blame poor sales on us if some fig wins top votes, gets made and doesnt sell....... Honestly if you vote 200 times a day for 20 days = 4000 Votes! That May Make you think theres a need for 2000-3000 figs to be made? when in reality that 4000 votes would only gaurantee 1 or 2 figures
