Hey guys,
I PM'ed TRW last night and received his permission to post this in the lounge and hopefully it will be stickied for a at least a few days.
I'm the Mod of the Fantasy Booking Board and our little community has taken a major hit throughout the last few years. I've been an active member of the board since September of 2005, so I've seen the board go through it's periods of inactivity but none quite like this.
First, let me explain what Fantasy Booking is: Basically, you create and book your own fed. That's all there is to it. For example, the fed I created is called ICW - Intense Championship Wrestling Wrestling - and I write out a show called Monday Night Collision; ICW has a PPV every single month.
Back in the day, there were so many fantastic shows but for whatever reason the community has taken quite the hit. Some bookers have just moved on, some have simply not logged onto WF in years, etc...
I'm wondering if there is anyone that is interested in re-building the fantasy booking board. I miss the community that was active a few years ago; it's pretty much me, WCWA Online and Johnny Albright.
A big part of being in the fantasy booking community besides writing shows is REVIEWING shows. Bookers, good ones at least, want to know what people have though of their shows and what they can do to improve.
Which breaks to another subject: your show does not have to be a fully blow written show like my show and WCWA's. We simply enjoy writing long shows because we feel it adds an air of realism, however, you don't need to feel compelled to write out 30+ page shows. We just recommend using as much detail as you can.
So, how about it guys? Are any of you interested in joining the community? If you are, post your fed information in the Fantasy Booking sub-board. If you're unsure of what fantasy booking really is about or are just unsure if you want to do it, I recommend you read WCWA's and my show.
Thanks, all.
