I'm 26 and I love WWE figures....hell, I love all figures. Today at Target I bought a UFC figure on clearance for $2 just because it had a mustache and looked like Magnum PI, lol.
Every once in a while I'll have actual matches in the Elite Scale Ring, but I unfortunately don't have a lot of free time. Usually what I do is when I get a new figure I'll grab some of my other favorites and do some moves on the desk while I watch TV or using the computer.
Anybody who has a problem with somebody buying action figures needs to get over themselves....it's not like I'm an alcoholic or a drug addict or out committing crimes.
My gf thinks it's a waste of money, but like I said, if having the hobby of collecting action figures is the worst thing I do then I think I'm ok, lol.

You would be amazed at how many people our age (im also 23) fully play with their figures. I've even found out some of my friends collect and play with figures, friends I knew for years and I would have never guessed. The stereotype does hold true from time to time, but like anything, its a small percentage that give a group a stereotype. Most collectors are totally normal, and out of them, I can't tell you how many times I've gotten a figure that was "only on display, never played with" but you can see the slightest sign that it had a match or two. We all know how it goes, even if some wont admit it.
More power to you if you have a match here and there.

I'm 21 and while I don't have my own Mattel collection (I have almost every LJN, Hasbro and Jakks BCA, though) my 11-year-old brother has a full loose Mattel collection. He and I play around with the figures from time to time, and while it seems like I'm just being a good brother my ulterior motive is to get to mess around with his figures. Even when he isn't around I'll grab a figure and just fiddle with it.
I still live at home which is why I haven't started to collect Mattel; I really don't have any room. Once I finish my internship, get some better job stability and get my own place I think I'll start collecting again. Mattel's representation of WWE figures truly is awesome.

Dude, im 29 and if i had the imagination or drive i would play with my figures everyday. I Just pose them really , by the time i would get them all set up, i would probably do a powerbomb or something and get bored. But i played with my figures till i was 17ish. Whether it be Too Many videogames, too much t.v or just getting older, my imaginations dead.
And how the hell Do people find Natalya Hot? She looks like my friends grandmother, Maryse is Where its at

I always tell myself: "If Chris Sabin can do it, So Can I!" lol, But really, Sometimes I get made fun of for playing with my figures. I just turned 18 last month. Most of my friends are always looking for trouble or do stuff that can get them in trouble. I rather be inside my house playing with my figures then racing cars at street races risking getting killed by an unprofessional driver or doing drugs. So dude, Its your life. Don't let anyone tell you how to life it.

I am 22 and I play with mine just about every day. My fed (which I maintain and log in notebooks that nobody but me ever sees) requires me to bend the laws of physics and logic as I move so quickly through a PPV year. I also have a fantastic girlfriend that recently found elite Zack Ryder and bought it for me.
Shame is overrated. I think tinkering around with cars, going to heavy metal concerts, smoking weed, and collecting stamps are all boring and ridiculous hobbies, but if that's what gives people a good time, go crazy.

I do enjoy playing with wrestling figures and myself actually...not at the same time though. That would just be weird. Thanks for all the input guys! I actually didn't know there were so many people even on this board my age and older. I figured I was an old timer. Good to know there are other people here my age.

I'm 20 and I have some figures left but not many and I rarely touch them.
Maybe every now and then when I am bored and want to do a couple moves or something I'll do that but I have not had a full on match in the ring [which lives under my bed] in it seems over a year.
I used to be able to spend a lot of time doing that but around 2-3 years it started to me more hassle to get them all out of the packages [for some reason I kept everything..] and then put them back in it when I was done so I barely got a week done in my storyline. Eventually it just stopped happening altogether.
So now I mainly buy the few figures I want to display and or get signed by people I know I will be meeting..

I'm 25 now....turned 25 back in May. I've been collecting for a long ass time now. I started with Hasbros when I was around 4 years old. Got out of it for a little, never really had a ton of Hasbro guys. When the BCA line started in about '96, it started the craze that was collecting for me. I was getting new figures all the way through BCA and the first wave of the TTL-era. Then the TTL era ended around 2002 and they started the R3 tech, and I stopped with them because I didn't really like how they looked. I was out of collecting for a little over a year because of the R3 style. Then one day, summer 2003, I saw some new style figures, the RA style. RA3 was the first series I even saw in stores, because I wasn't really looking. I saw RA3 Mysterio, my first RA figure, and the rest is history.
I almost did quit collecting near the end of the Jakks WWE run, because all the crap they pulled and the excuses they expected us to believe were just unacceptable for them. And I felt almost insulted as a consumer of their product that they kept feeding us these lies, again and again. Chinese New Year for the AD13 debacle? Yeah, bull-f*cking-sh*t. But then Mattel took the WWE license, and really ran with it. I got right back into the full collecting swing with Mattel, and I'm not really gonna stop. And I do have matches now and again, hell sometimes I bust the ring out and everything, line up cards and whatnot. Like I just got Elite 8 Sheamus, Bourne, and Edge tonight, I may fiddle with them in a match or two tonight still.
There is NOTHING wrong with the figure collecting/playing hobby. Who cares? I'm not hurting anybody, and I'm not doing anything illegal. So....it's fine with me.

I'm not hurting anybody, and I'm not doing anything illegal. So....it's fine with me. I've really REALLY slowed down on my collecting. I still have all the figures I've gathered throughout the years (which isn't a whole lot compared to some) but now it's usually once a year I'll buy a figure of one of my favorites if I come across it. Last figure I bought was the Elite Series CM Punk or whatever with the blue attire and the shirt and all that jazz. Next one I'll be getting is that new CM Punk one they showed with the hair all slicked back and what not. That's an awesome fig. As others have said though there are a lot worse things you could be spending your money on than action figures. I spend all my money on CD's because that's my passion now, music but I did love figure collecting when I was super into it.

When I was a kid I was real serious about my figures.
Whenever I would buy a new figure it would be like signing them to a contract and I had a notebook where I had my roster and how many years I signed them for and what I decided their salary should be.
I had rankings and I have notebooks full of stories I wrote. I would plug some CPU speakers into my CD player and have entrance musics, and I built stages and made belts.....it was SOOOOOOO much fun.
I would have PPV's and I would create really cool booking sheets and print out brackets and fill them in for PPV's like King of the Ring.
Damn I wish I could just not work anymore and just hang out at home and spend some time doing this again. I don't consider it weird or childish....I think it's really creative and a hell of a lot of fun.

Here's the thing, would you be willing to tell your friends, your girlfriend, your co-workers, people you go to school with, etc. the fact that you sit at home and play with action figures despite being older than 10? If you wouldn't be willing to let other people find out about it and judge you based on it, but don't care anyway, than knock yourself out. But if you don't want other people to know and consider it a secret shame, than maybe it's time to quit.
