Don't know if this is the right thread to post it in, but what a result last night against Sunderland! 1-0 AET! Yes, Sunderland played more in our half than we did in their's but the chance we created were better ones. We hit the post, probably should have had a penalty (haven't seen the replay yet), and deservedly got our goal in extra time. Our captain and best defender, Gordon Greer, was forced off at half time, and having to fill the spot with a full-back in Romain Vincelot, the he was also forced off through injury which meant our 18 y.o. defender Lewis Dunk was forced to play the entire second half without a recognised center back next to him, but he thrived and should have got MOTM IMO. Great game. Great Result. Great start to the season.

ing poope, Bruce needs the sack and quick. Started the game with no strikers on the pitch yet had 3 on the bench, it felt just like the Newcastle game on saturday we created chances into the box but there was no one there to put it in, Wickham was a disgrace and certainly doesn't look like a £8m striker as was Cattermole with his dreadful passing, but once again Bruce waits until its far too late to bring on our star striker. Can't wait until he's gone. Catching Kieran Westwood's shirt after he threw it in the crowd proved to be a mere consolation in what was a poop night. Even then I got smashed in the head getting it Sorry if the pic is to big, uploaded it via my phone.

That's awesome you can treasure that... Or burn it if he turns out to be crape . We beat Huddersfield 5-3 after extra time. Brilliant game, fair play to Huddersfield too.

Good result for us today, glad we're back to winning ways and that Earnie scored after that howler against England.

Another great result yesterday away at Bristol City, although according to reports, City deserved at least a point.

As I thought, we're having a stinker. Early days, but I'm still thinking relegation is still a possibilty. Shocking again yesterday. We're crying out for some experience, I still rate Howe highly, but I think he's got it all wrong getting rid of every single player we had with a pubic hair.

That was a truly incredible result, a nothing little club like Stevenage beating a sleeping giant like Shef Wed. Crazy.
On a far more important note, looks like Paulo has started turning things around at STFC.

Great performance from Leicester today, closed Brighton down brilliantly and they didn't know what to do. Saw enough from Brighton in the first five or ten minutes to suggest that they'll do well this season and addmitedly it shouldn't have been a red but I guess we should have been 2-0 up had the ref played the advantage so it's fair enough. Now I just hope the Cardiff games don't mirror our cup/league double against Portsmouth last year.

Didn't really know what to expect when we appointed him and its been very hit and miss, I mean we lost again to Burton today so the jury is still very much out on him. But I will say we are trying to actually play good quality football under him so I'm still optimistic that we'll be there or there abouts come the end of the season.

Good day out at Leicester today, despite the result. They 100% deserved the win today, great team and expect them to win automatic promotion. We still managed to create chances and Mackail-Smith should have pulled it back to 1-1, but like Mark said, should have been 2, ref should have played advantage, and I think he knew it when he sent Painter off.
P.s. I didn't hear who got man of the match for you lot, Mark, but if I were to pick it would have been Sol Bamba, nothing got past him today and he had our strikers in his back pocket, looked a premiership defender. Vassell also played extremely well and caused Painter numerous problems.

Vassell also played extremely well and caused Painter numerous problems. Local radio gave it to Vassell, to be honest Sol plays like that most of the time, he's that kind of defender, was attracting interest from Blackburn in the Summer so if we don't go up we might find it difficult to keep him. Couldn't help but laugh at Mackail-Smith's shot after the summer, always had a soft spot for Brighton since the 2-0 (Promotion/Relegation Game) when we had Micky Adams in charge, so hopefully we'll both end up getting promotion this season.

Déjà vu. Some clever clogs is going to chip their penalty. Edit: Getting bored of losing at the CCS.

You don't seem to like penalties against us, was a pretty even game... Can't believe you let in a goal against Gestede... Glad to be through but could've done without the extra time.
