How much should a basic be worth and how much should an elite be worth?
I know it depend on the figure, but should the old series Elite and Basic be cheaper than the newer one?
I hear people say that if a basic is more than $10 dollars it a rip off, so what is the cheapest price you can get on an elite and at what price point is an elite figure a rip off?

In Australia, Basics go for anywhere between $12-15, and elites are $25-30 dollars.

Basics are more than $10 now here in the states. After tax the are $11 and some change and Elites are $18 and change.

they are 9.99 basic. And 14.99 elite in Briton

Germany:
Basics: 9 - 19 € which is like 12 - 26 $
Elites: 19 - 39€ which is like 26 - 55 $

At Toys R Us in the UK, basic figures are now £10.99 ($18 US) and elites are £12.99 ($21). We do seem to be getting stuff first now, though.
I think older series, if you still find them, are still pretty much the same price as the brand new series.
It's rare to find older series on sale prices in the UK, but it has been known. I think some Smyths stores clearanced a few older two-packs recently.
The US doesn't seem to have older series of the main lines (basic, two-pack, elite) at reduced prices usually, but the Entrance Greats figures are frequently found for $5 which is a huge reduction. The Legends figures are often found in discount stores in the US for anywhere between $3 to $13.

In the US:
Basics at Walmart & Target are 10.97
Basics at TRU are 11.99
Elites are 16.99 at TRU
Don't know how much they are at TRU or Walmart been a while since I've bought an elite there.

I'd say no more than $10 for basic and no more than $15 for elite.

Dude, it's more like $15-20 and $30-35 I have no idea where you're shopping because they're the only price ranges I've seen. Never seen a Basic for more than $15, and an Elite for $35? $30 is the most I've ever seen them for haha |

I have no specific answer for this question as it depends on the character.
For example, I paid the extra amount above MSRP to get the Basic Alberto from RSC rather than wait for retail. With the wfigs discount the cost versus the retail plus tax, fuel, time and grief, it basically evens out to me.
If I like a character, I will above and beyond what MSRP to get it when I want it and may even buy 2.
Of course, there limits as I wouldn't pay $45 for the Gabriel 2 pk despite the fact I really wanted it. As I said, it really depends on the figure.
