I will probably get slammed with be patient posts but for the sake of being impatient, what is going on!
Trevor posted RSC's will be receiving their second(?)/third(?) shipment of Legends 6 next week. Defining Moments 4 Austin is sold out on RSC and Mattel Shop.
In addition, we have not heard a peep from Mattel regarding the release of these sets, except for the signs at SDCC which said "Fall 2011".
Can we receive a little more info? Are these sets sitting in retail distribution centers waiting for the holiday rush? Can you divulge which retailers will be carrying Legends 6, if any? Defining Moments 4? Will Defining Moments 5 hit retail before the holidays?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Will, you can get DM4 at Mattelshop.com they've had them for a while. As for Legends 6 Mattelshop only had Tornado for one day around the time of SSCC. This is I think RSC's 3rd shipment of L6

They obviously have a production run but the question is where is it/where is it going. I spoke with a MS rep this evening and he said it is 50/50 whether MS restocks a specific item (dependent upon production run, retail contractual obligation, etc.) but he suggested I speak w/ Mattel Customer Relations. I am going to contact Mattel CR tomorrow. Thanks though!

Stone Cold is the first DM to sell out from Mattelshop and I bet it will sell real well at retail.

I have no clue about retail stores. We're getting our third shipment of legends 6 in soon. I would've thought that retail stores would have had some newer product by now but they just haven't. I know we're getting stuff in all the time. PPV 10 is next week. PPV 11 is early september. Defining Moments 5 is mid-september.

The distribution is an ongoing thing with Mattel stores skip waves then get later sets. TRU went from basic 3 to 7 to 10. maybe a case of 4 and 5 got mingled in during the holiday rush but they were heavy with those sets. Even on their DC line my local Target went from wave 9 to wave 17 skipped everything in between.

I agree with LaParka the Distribution sucks with the Mattel Figures. I am reading reports of people finding Elite 10 @ Walmart but one of my Super Walmarts did there reset and put out Elite 9 and still have Basic Signature Series figures.

Mattel doesn't even want to discuss the distribution problems, they shut down the issue whenever it's brought up. Considering however that both Wal-Mart and Target have cleared out remaining Legends stock at a discount, it's highly unlikely that Series 6 will ever see release at retail. Even Toys R Us only got a very small supply of Legends 5 at most locations.
