Bit random but i really need something to display all my figures on as my collection is starting to get quite big and im running out of space. I def need some shelves up but im wondering what type of shelves because there are so many shapes and sizes out there. Where is a good place to purchase them (IKEA, HOMEBASE?) and which type are the easiest to put up? do normal book shelves make the best shelves for displaying figures? any advice on this would be great, thank you.

IKEA would be your best bet really buddy, they're usually good value and easy to assemble. I've had shelves and shelving cabinets from them before and they've always done the job! The shelving cabinets (like a bookcase but bigger) is used for my TV, PS3, Caps and books. You could easily put figures on it.

I didn't bother with bookcase shelves i just got normal wall mounted shelving something like £7 for a 4 foot shelf from B&Q
Ikea and the likes of shops like that are likely to charge a high price just because its got a silly name.. personally I cant justify adding £20 onto something just because its called Le Shelf de la floof, rather than 4ft Beach Shelf

Ikea's shelves aren't expensive, and you can get some nice 'floating shelves' where the bracketing that keeps the shelf on the wall is hidden
You can more than likely get this style of shelf at any good hardware store
