...and I just suck at customizing, it's official. lol.
They are easy enough to do, honestly....but, I just couldn't get them the way I wanted them! (This is NO fault of Dean's...just my own ineptitude!)
I'd get creases, or folds, and if I got THOSE out, it would stick up places. If I got it allsmoothed out, I'd move the entire tat. If I tried nail hardener on the tat once I got it in place, it would bunch up. Agh. I went through two sets in 15 minutes.
Ah well. I suck. Wasn't meant to be, I suppose.
Thanks for the fast delivery anyway, Dean.

Actually, I just figured out what I've been doing wrong. I was cutting too close to the emblems, and not giving them much room to spread over the shoulder. Once I figured that out and gave a little extra room around the emblem to stick and all, it works beautifully. Crap. Now, I'm going to have to order more because I figured this out too late! lol

Once they're on there, are they permanent or do you have to be really careful not to rub them?

I hadone there pretty good earlier today, and with some force and fingernail scraping, it came off, but with no permanent marks on the figure.

If you look in the fixups thread there is a small discussion in which Dean says to make sure they are dry before applying any nail polish.

As the saying goes 'Practice makes perfect' I also messed a few up to begin with by dropping them into the bottom of the water bowl through being too shakey LOL. Once I had become more used to it though it just came easy and my Punk figures are starting to look more complete There's no way they ruin the figures and they give you plenty of time to move them around and straighten them out before you leave them to dry. I applied the clear nail polish around 2 hours after applying the decals and it worked a treat I have also ordered some more as well as a spare set for future Punk figures.

Hey you're not alone. I envision myself having nothing but issues with them too, which is why I haven't bought any. I guess I got fat fingers LOL

Yeah, practice makes perfect. I got my set of decals last week and finally had the nerve to apply them last night. I read up everything I had to know and went to work on E11 Punk. I almost pulled off a perfect application but I got impatient and did both sides at the same time. After I adjusted the Cobra tattoo just right, I saw that I accidentally crunched the Pepsi one with my hand. So I removed it and redid it this morning. The trick I noticed was getting the decal to apply smoothly on the shoulders. There always seems to be tiny creases or bubbles and whenever I tried to smooth it out, I kept moving the decal out of alignment. So I left a few tiny creases along the edges and found it was easier to smooth them out after they dried. Now, my E11 CM Punk looks complete and here are some pics...Only that I wasn't expecting him to come out with a mic! Heheh, sorry, I had to cut Punk's mic off again! Anyway, thanks again, Dean! The decals are cool and hopefully, I'll be able to get another set soon to complete some more of my Punk figures!

Anyway, thanks again, Dean! The decals are cool and hopefully, I'll be able to get another set soon to complete some more of my Punk figures! Dude! That looks so good! I'm glad you like them. Your advice on how to get them applied just right is perfect if I do say so myself. I'm sorry to anyone who has bought the decals or who does buy them and cant get them on correctly. It does take a little bit of practice and lots of patience. I wish everyone could just send me their figures and I'd apply them for them, but I'm afraid as the Black Crowes say that'd be hard to handle. ;D Anyways, if you have a success story or a cool pic of your punk figure with the decals on, please post it up here...I love seeing my work in action!

I'm too afraid I'll mess up my figures by putting decals and stuff on them.
