I sold a second hand game on ebay to this guy living in Australia and after waiting about 2 weeks he confirms that it arrived and all is well... right? Unfortunately, no. Right after he sends me a message (quite a rude one at that) basically stating that it's in poor condition and that I should have picked the "acceptable" option when describing it's condition.
Now I just want to say that this game was FAR from being in "acceptable" condition (which in ebay's official description states that the game had no cover/manual or was heavily damaged but still playable). This game had had some minor scratches on the disk and that was pretty much it (which is to be expected when buying second hand games). Other than that there was no damage to the cover or manual and the game played fine.
So after sending him a message he replies and says that I "claimed" it was in good condition and that he will keep the game ONLY IF I pay him £4 as a way of saying sorry.
Surely he can't get away with this right? I assure you there was nothing wrong with the game. He seems to be overreacting to me. Any help would be great.

unfortunately on eBay, it's always the seller's fault.

unfortunately on eBay, it's always the seller's fault. No not always. And the buyer pretty much admitted to basically blackmailing Nitro by "the only way that I'll accept this is if you pay me as a way of saying sorry." THAT is not allowed on eBay under any circumstances.
