I have everything on display right now and it's just taking up too much room.
I would like to just keep the most current of each wrestler on display and pack away the rest.
What do you suggest is the best way to store loose figures?

What I do is store 'em in one of those plastic tubs from Walmart or wherever, and seperate the layers with bubble wrap as not to have them bang together and create paint transfer. You can do all of this for under $10.

I used to store them in bins but to be honest if ur gonna store em I would just sell them while I can get something for them. Kinda ruins the point of collecting if u ask me.

There are some figs that while you can't display them, are still way too friggin cool to part with! Take my word for it, I've bought back way too many figs that I previously parted with.

Yup. Only mine is blue and from Walmart. I keep cloth items and accessories separate in a ziploc plastic bag.

I know the whole nostalgia thing of figs u've collected over the years but at the end of the day for the most part they will sit in a bin only to be taken out a few times. Idk if it's just me but I rather have more space than store things I don't want.

I use the cardboard boxes that packs of printer paper come in. You can usually get them free at Staples, Office Depot, etc. if you ask. I like them better than plastic tubs because they have completely flat bottoms, so you can store your figures standing in rows, which prevents them from getting loose joints.

Before I made this thread, I had something in my mind like individual plastic bags for each individual figure... like with Elites, you could keep the accessories with the figure... and put them all in a plastic tub (from WalMart).
Anyone ever tried anything like that?

I like plastic bins and ziploc bags. You just need to decide how much you are storing and for how long. Long term storage (anything over 6 months) requires a larger investment than short term "i change my display constantly" storage. My hasbro figs are stored in vac sealed individual boxes. My jakks are layered horizontally in tubs with tissue paper (easy to remove) with bubble rap. My mattels just don't seem to get put away yet. Ziploc bags get labeled by the character and their pack-ins get stored along with them just in case I decide to sell.

The issue I have with storing figures in plastic bins is the limbs start to warp in time from the weight of the figures. So I try to put my least favorite figures on the bottom of the bin, but after the first row which I lay on their backs I put the rest of the layers face down and I also criss cross the rows to try and balance the weight better. Meaning one row the figures are faced north/south then the next row goes east/west and so on.

Selling is the smart and sensible thing to do. But I can't bring myself to sell anything . Oh my, PJ and I layer the figures the same way. Rubbermade used to make DVD/CD boxes that were perfect for storing rows of 6-7" figures. A few years ago I cleaned out a Big Lots (they were selling half the price of Walmart). Unfortunately they don't seem to make them anymore. "The Opportunist" Eric Flair mentioned paint transfer. I recently opened a box of Jakks. Several of the divas had paint rub off onto other figures. In the past, I have had trouble with the soft rubber like material sticking to the harder plastic.

Im moving to my new apartment soon and I have all my WWE, DCUC, ML and other action figures in ziploc bags, thats the best way to go and just bin them but make sure to leave a little air in the bags as you seal the bags so u can put them nicely on top of each other and it wont affect the figures!!!!
