Is it me or is it wierd that since Jakks switched to the TNA line, that they have almost no shelfspace in stores to feature TNA product? And the stores that do carry TNA figs almost never have more than 2 or 3 singles or 2 packs even on display? What the hell is going on? Jakks ruled when they had the WWE license. TNA figs are really hard to find and it sux. Walmart doesn't carry tna, target has maybe 6 pegs that are always empty and toys r us has maybe 8 pegs that are always empty as well. I just want the damn daffney/stevie 2 pack...is that too much to askk???

The line is slim pickings for sure. At my Toys R Us I just see the Foley/Joe 2 pack that warms the shelf. There is nothing stocked at my Target for TNA

As good as Jakks distribution has been in the past, TNA just does not have the brand name recognition the WWE has. There are many WWE products clogging up shelves as well and if retailers are not going to order more WWE figures, they sure as hell are not going to order TNA figures.

Jakks has a lot of shelf space, just not for TNA figures like you said. All that Pirates of the Caribbean stuff is theirs and I just saw 8 facing worth of Real Steel movie figures at Target.
It's clear Jakks is focusing on the Movie lines and not TNA. There is no problem with distribution, nor is the 'packaging change' slowing things down. They are simply putting their time, effort & money in lines that have more money making potential than TNA

They are simply putting their time, effort & money in lines that have more money making potential than TNA That's not necessarily true. They have different brands obviously and brand managers for each. They don't just have everything and say "ok let's put all our money into this line." They put just as much effort into each brand, probably even more into the UFC and TNA lines along with other long series lines, but sometimes there are bumps in the road. You have to remember too that the TNA line is an ongoing series when something like Pirates of the Caribbean is just a movie license that will usually have a few series if that and then they're done with it. They also have a strict deadline when it comes to movie license product because in order for it to sell it needs to be released around the film release. TNA is an episodic television show that has a more lenient deadline, giving Jakks the freedom to change characters/packaging etc. without having to worry as much. Hope this makes sense? Not looking to start anything, just helping clarify.

I went to a TRU today in a suburb of chicago (melrose park) and in the wrestling isle I saw very slim pickings. Jakks had maybe 10 figs, 2 or 3 of those horrible UFC figs, the ones with little to no articulation and the rest were the small G.I. joe sized figs. and they had 1 tna fig, a jeff jarret LoTR not on a peg, just sitting on top of other stuff with an 11.99 price tag on him.
What I saw in TNA's spot was some spy gear stuff. It's a shame really, jakks made nice figs and instead in its spot were some cheap plastic peices that are supposed to be a camera, a microphone, and idk what else. The small accesories jakks made for the figs are much nicer than the spy gear.

That's not necessarily true. They have different brands obviously and brand managers for each. They don't just have everything and say "ok let's put all our money into this line." Yes, but companies don't have unlimited funds/time/resources. They have to appropriate those things accordingly. Coke and Mellow Yellow are both Coca-Cola products, but the two certainly don't receive equal treatment/$$$. I just don't think that's true. Fair enough, but at what point does that 'freedom' become neglect? I could be completely wrong, it's happened before, but since Jakks isn't talking, all we can do is speculate.

My Toys-R-Us is loaded with all of the good figures from Jakks and Mattel both TNA and WWE. I live in the land of the Mormons and the parents around here don't exactly let their children watch wrestling let alone collect the figures. I think that is why my stores have everything. If you get desperate I would be happy to take a list of what you need at match it up to what my stores have and if you want any all I would need is the purchase price + shipping cost.

I wouldn't go as far to call it neglect. Like I said and from what I've been told, there are changes being made overseas and TNA also has control over the line. Things were supposed to be rolling again back in July and then the WWF pulled out on them, causing a lot of issues for both Jakks and TNA. That hit them hard, causing the boat to be rocked again so all we can do is be patient. I don't have all the answers obviously, but there are clearly issues going on that are preventing things from releasing on a timely basis. And yeah I understand about Coca Cola/Mellow Yellow, I'd say in this case since TNA isn't as big as WWE, it probably has a smaller budget than when they had the WWE because it's a smaller license, but it is still a line that gets more attention over time than one like a movie license.
