I live near Winston-Salem North Carolina, and I have 4 Wal-Marts within a short driving distance (less than 30 minutes any direction) and they all have poor stock levels. Hanes Mall Blvd. Wal-Mart being the worst of the 4. They've had Elite 6 since before Christmas, and have only gotten teeny-tiny proportions in since then. The last basics that they stocked were 9 (in low numbers) and Wrestlemania Heritage (in "OH MY GOD RIDICULOUS" quantities). Their shelves, like all the ones in the area, are barren at most times. It's not even an issue of "Let's dwindle down what we have before we re-order", it's always barren. Tonight, I'm in Greensboro, about 45-50 minutes away and I go into the Walmart off the highway and what do I see? WWE Valhalla. 2 Eve Torres, 4 Macho Man Legends, 4 Daniel Bryans, 2 Skip Sheffields, 4 Goldust Elites, and many many more. 6 full pegs of Basics, 3 Full pegs of Elites, 2 pegs of Legends, etc. etc. Point is, it was a healthy toy section, it felt right. Something looks terribly wrong when you walk into a so-called "Superstore" and the shelves are empty. I figure the ones near me are a separate district from the one in Greensboro, so is District Management the responsible party? Why can one area be so drastically different from the next when the distance is so short? Does anyone work for the company that knows why? In the mean time, maybe I will start making trips to Greensboro more frequently, because outside of our ToysRus sometimes being on the ball my collection has become more and more difficult to sustain.

I think Walmarts are assigned different levels. I guess it's based on foot traffic and past sales, the higher they are, the better toy department you get. Plus some consultant convinced them to get rid of most of the toy and craft departments. The Walmart in my town is very weak. They sell mostly figures from the big movie toylines. I think I leave empty handed about 90% of the time. The 2 best Walmarts are about 20 miles. They have decent wrestling and a lot of different toylines. It's frustrating because all the Walmarts around me used to be good for toy shopping but not anymore.

Honestly, my WalMarts get in things a lot sooner than other retailers.

This same Wal-Mart in Greensboro was the one I went to about 6 months ago (shows how often I go to Greensboro) and I do remember the variety of toy lines being greater, too. They were, to date, the only Wal-Mart that I have seen Lucha Libre figures in. I also know what mrhoss said is true, too, the Wal-Mart in Mocksville is the only one in the area with a fabric department, guess they feel the need to run the Local craft businesses under, since Mocksville is such a small small town. I used to collect DC Universe Classics, but the local Wal-marts killed that line by never getting new stock. I still check on them and that exclusive wave and the wave with Kamandi and such was the last one any of them have stocked. My local comic shop is the ONLY game in town for the new waves. The exclusives seem to be an issue, too, the Hanes Mall Wal-Mart had so many of those damn WM Heritage figures that they had them spread between two aisles. I could have told you that 6 sub-par repaints weren't going to sell.

was just at the SuperStore near my home yesterday and on the pegs for Elites sat 6 E8 Takers, 4 E8 Regals, and 2 each of E9 Orton and MVP... I asked the guy stocking the section at the time if he had more in the back and this is what I was told...
"We actually have a few cases of this style of WWE figs but aren't allowed to put them out until after the ones on the shelf have sold"
Then asked if he could go back and look for certain ones (Elite 9 Ryder and Kofi) and was told...
"Management no longer allows us to do this. They don't want us opening a box and not stocking the whole box at once because it messes up the inventory and makes it difficult to keep track of certain products"
He apologized and said he would have gone back and checked but they have really been cracking down on that and didn't wanna get into trouble and I believe him mostly cuz he has gone to the back for me before on several occasions

The Wal-Mart near me stays current as far as Elite figures. The only problem i have is they sell out the same day they stock.

My Walmart has serious issues in regards to not re-stocking items.
It's not just toys, it's everything.

Someone saw the name "Wrestlemania" on those Heritage figures and thought they'd be a real hot item, but they are just really old attires so they weren't.

I haven't bought a figure at Wal-Mart in months. TRU became the place to go.

Every Walmart I visit is attocious. At one time, I remember Jakks named them distributor of the year. Now, they are hardly stocked up on WWE products, it seems. Target out performs them as far as restocking shelves, especially with newer products.

My Walmart hasn't even got basic 8,9,10,11. They Do keep stocking Legends 5, and Elite 9 more than basics. The thing that my Walmart does stock is those stupid signature series 2 over and over again. The most recent restock they did was those stupid rumblers.
