I know we're all a little biased to mattel but judging all the belts jakks did vs all the belts mattel has currently released, who has done them better on a whole?

I think Mattel's are better. For the most part they are colored and have straps that are 100X better than the Jakks straps. Sure Jakks gave us some painted titles with the CSDA's, but they were few and far between.

I'm going to give the edge to Mattel, but both of them were/are very disappointing with their cheapness.
Jakks had shiny belts, but refused to paint the designs. They also had some really awkward looking belts that looked NOTHING like the actual belts that they used for almost a decade and refused to update, most notably the IC title.
Mattel, on the other hand, paints the designs(on most of them), but refuse to make the plates shiny on most belts so they look crappy and cheap. But at least the belts themselves look like what the actual belts in real life are designed to look like, except for when they make them out of dull plastic instead of the shiny coating.
So they both have problems which are really disappointing and unfortunate, but I give the edge to Mattel because the shape, size and design of the belts looks way more realistic than Jakks.

Jakks produced alot of belts and they were great.
Mattel has produced amazing belts, but lately the quality has gone way done. If I had to chose, Id go with Mattel by a hair. If Mattel continued to produced belts, like the Elite 8 WWE and IC, then Mattel easily.

I agree the only reasons I think there would be any debate is if mattel continue to use that dull color and also the issue with the belt sizes.

I'd have to give the edge to Jakks here. Some of the older sculpts weren't good (eg modern Intercontinental, classic tag) but for the most part the sculpts were dead on. Would have been better if they were painted, but I feel mattel belt sculpts, while painted well, aren't always as detailed as the Jakks ones in sculpt. sculpt is more important to me than paint, since i can add paint easily myself.
Both companies however, disappoint me equally by not making Classic WCW title belts for figures, i.e. classic WCW US title and classic WCW tag titles.

Mattel. The strap is what makes it for me.

Mattel. The strap is what makes it for me. I hate the Mattel straps. I hate the nub and hole method of closing them very much. Mattel makes epic belts, then some terrible ones, but I'm sure in the end they will have better.

Mattel, the lack of Vac Metal on the new release ones is annoying so hopefully they figure that out but i think they have better details, painted details, and straps that actually represent the real thing. Jakks did make some great belts though.

Mattelis the clear choice for me. Although the 1/500 jakks belts were great.

How about the shiny JAKKS WHC vs the Mattel matte finish? Depite the better strap, I think anybody who says the Mattel version is being biased.
Just like anybody who says the WWE Title from JAKKS is better than the WWE title that came w/ Sheamus is out of their mind.

Mattel have done a great job on the belts but what i dont like is that the dul they do now, i dont like dul i prefer them like the first ones, but mattel should make more belts, like the european tittle, harcore tittle, cruiser tittle, old world tag team champions, that are tittle that are cool. jakks did a great job to but not putting colors on them well that was the bad part from them.
still my desicion is on Mattel

Mattel. How many did Jakks release painted? The 3 World titles? Classic IC/Winged Eagle and Attitude. Plus Smoking Skull. SD Tag. Spinner/ Cena US. Well I guess that's a decent amount now that I named them all. But I'd still give the edge to Mattel, I never liked the "leather" part of Jakks' belts.

The belts to me are funny because they summarize Mattel's whole WWE run. The quality is good overall, but occasionally they get really sloppy/don't listen to us... and we get sub-par stuff. It's kind of like having a really attractive girlfriend that does shady things on a random basis. We like them a lot, but then they hurt your feelings... and your expectations lower... and you have to keep spending more and more money on them.

Mattel. The straps are great and I love the US, (first) Spinner & WHW, and tag titles. I'm not a fan of the non-shiny and non-painted belts though.

I still use Jakks World Heavyweight Championship on my Mattel figures. I just prefer the mold and the shine on the belt and I think it's more accurate personally than the Mattel attempt. I also still use the painted Jakks Winged Eagle title as well for pretty much the same reasons. Aside from that though, the Mattel belts I have trump the Jakks versions by a big margin imo. Now I am of course talking about the E8 belts, the E10 Show tag titles, and the Classic IC title specifically but I like the strap on the Mattel belts and prior to the stop on the gloss I thought the Mattel belts were incredibly well done.

Mattel No Brainer B/C Their Belt Straps Are Better & Atleast They Are All Painted On Elites Unlike Jakks Who Painted Their Belts Few & Far Between.
