Just seen that there is a new episode coming on this morning on MTV2. I've been wanting to watch it for awhile but never quite catch it or remember to DVR. Anyone know if it's any good?

I'm watching it right now. The first tag team match between Rellik/Sydisktiko and Tinieblas Jr./El Oriental was good. I prefer the old announcers mostly cause of the color commentator Lalo Gonzalez but Kevin Kelly and the other guy (forgot his name, it's not Steven Richards though) are good, too, sounded like they knew a bit bout lucha libre. The next match is Mini Park vs. his "ex-wife" Rosette Park in a Lumberjack match, I think the lumberjacks are the minis.

The first episode of season two was really good, I thought. Can't wait to see more.

The one thing I don't like about Lucha Libre USA is hiring people who don't fit the lucha libre style. I mean, Kip Gunn? Really? They couldn't keep The Right with RJ Brewer, Petey Williams, Jon Anderson (forgot his last name in LLUSA) and Lizzy Valentine as the female valet. The announcers, I don't have any complains about. I really liked Kevin Kelly in the first episode, he sounded like he knew a bit about lucha libre. I hope Steven Richards knows about it, too. I read on Wikipedia that Reid Flair was on the roster. I'm not sure if it's true, but why the hell is in on the roster? How does he fit lucha libre? The one more complain I got is the women on the roster. It's alright to have half the women's roster be American workers, but I think they should've hired more Mexican women wrestlers. There's a lot of good ones, like the Apache sisters and Sexy Star. They could've hired Jennifer Blake, but how does ODB, Jacqueline fit into that roster? Other than that, even though most of the roster are American workers, at least most of them have lucha libre style gimmicks. I hope they hire wrestlers who's familiar with the lucha libre style and not wrestlers like Kip Gunn just to have him. I really enjoyed the Season 2 premiere and can't wait to see more, like Rocky Romero!

Reid Flair wrestled a tag match over a year ago at a house show for them. he never appeared again. but maybe the guy who made the wiki page knows what'll air in season 2 and maybe they plan on going backwards in their airings. Tatanka is listed too and he only had the one match as well. and his match took place at the same show that the matches from the first episode of this season were taped at. so maybe that'll be next week. maybe they are only going to air the stuff missed the first time the show aired. its not a bad show, but its not really good either. and i hate the timeslot. 10am on saturdays terrible. my main complaint is that these matches were all taped almost a year ago. i get that they dont want the small contingent of viewers that they have missing matches, but still, they could have at least aired one match from the summer instead of having all matches taped last december. thats just ridiculous. within 2 months is fine, 3 is tolerable, but a 10 month delay from the time you tape to the time you air is just crazy.

You're right about Lucha Libre USA not being a bad show, as I enjoyed the first episode of season 2. The 10 month delay is ridiculous, but hey, as least we're getting new episodes. I kinda disagree about the whole "it's cheaper to get American wrestlers than fly in Mexican wrestlers" thing because they still gotta fly in Lizmark Jr., El Oriental, possibly Tinieblas Jr. in from Mexico, as Lizmark's a regular in AAA and Oriental in CMLL. They could fly in the Apaches, not saying full time, but for an appearance or two. Jennifer Blake could also fly in to the USA to wrestle. Heck, even Dark Angel (Sarah Stock) could wrestle here, and she doesn't really have to travel far. The only people I really have a problem being on the roster in Kip Gunn and some of the female roster (ODB/Jacqueline). The rest I'm fine with, or might have a disagreement but could care less as long as they got a good character that fits the lucha libre style.

Tatanka, David Flair and Reid Flair competed in dark matches that most likely never be aired. I think the main reason they use American workers is because they still need to appeal to the North American audience and they are more likely to stay tuned in if they see a familiar face as opposed to a luchadore that they have probably never heard of. Also, they wouldn't be able to use Dark Angel because she works for TNA.

Lizmark Jr doesnt work for AAA and Oriental doesnt work for CMLL. thats why they can work LLUSA. Tinieblas doesnt get flown in, all his matches for the promotion are in New Mexico. Lizmark and Oriental arent get flown in for shows. they travel on their own to be on tv in the US with the hope of raising their value in Mexico. and like Jord said, Sarah Stock is under contract with TNA and cant be used. the Apache sisters and Jennifer Blake are under contract with AAA who have an agreement with TNA and thus cant be used. as for Kip Gunn, he made sense being a part of that stable. the stable is supposed to be anti-lucha and have wrestlers who dont wrestle that style so having him as a part of it worked just fine. and again, its not a lucha promotion. its an american indy promotion with some minor lucha influences.

Oh, I did not know that Lizmark Jr. doesn't work in AAA or El Oriental didn't work for CMLL. I was looking at their roster on Luchawiki. ODB and Jacqueline are in TNA and were used in Lucha Libre USA, but like mentioned the person who wrote the roster on Wikipedia were writing the people who appeared on Seasons 2 and 3 and could probably not use them anymore. I really can't wait to see more episodes, as I am liking season 2.

I liked the main event this week. Finally they do a mask vs. hair match on this show! Shane Helms' debut on the show was cool, but he should really be Hurricane Helms (if he's even allowed to since I've seen him use it in indies.)
