My mom gave birth to my little brother today. About an hour after she did, she called me. Apparently he has breathing problems and needed to be airlifted to St. Louis. My family is going down there tomorrow to see him. [/attempt for sympathy] To keep the thread going, anybody else had a good day gone bad?

My nephew had breathing complications too. Had to put him on 1 of those breathing machines and in intensive care. He was born early at like 4 lbs. Was a bit scary seeing for the first time with tubes in his nose. He is fine now though.
Hope everything goes well for the baby and your family. Keep your family close right now. Be there for your mom especially.

I've had tons of days that start out good end poorly, but that's all bullcrap compared to what your family is going through. I hope everything turns out alright. It's amazing what doctors can do now.

i'm sorry, but that probably kills everyone else's bad day. I was coming on here to talk about how when i got to work everything was fine but by the end of my shift, so much crap was dumped on me by my co-workers that it turned my day crapty, but your problem is definitely more serious. I really hope all ends well man, I will keep you in my thoughts!

Just got home from St. Louis. By the looks of an X-Ray, He either has a.) A collapsed Right Lung or b.) An infected right lung. Poor little guy was hooked up to a breathing tube and all kind of wires.

Wow that sucks, as a kid I had breathing problems since I was first born as well. I'm pretty much over it now except if I try to be active when its cold out. Hoping he is fine.

A little update incase anybody wants to know. He is doing better. His right lung is starting to poof back up again and he's starting to breathe on his own.

I hope he's okay, dude. I had bad breathing problems when I was a baby, and according to my parents, it was hell. Hopefully he's going to be alright, and always think positively.

that sucks hope your brother gets better fast, for what its worth, I have 4 sisters(useless info <3) 2 older and 2 younger, 2 of them have(or had i'm never too sure) really bad asthma, and i'm pretty sure my mam was told one of them was going to diea week or 2 after she was born, the other one on the other hand has always had horrible health problems and I have been told there was occasions where she said she was seeing angels coming for her(and i believe this 100% creepy stuff has always been around our family) and she finishes college this year so she turned out grand. I dunno why i felt the need to share this story, maybe just to tell you not to worry, everything will work out in the end ! best of wishes
