1).Why isn't this in the fix up threads? 2).Why is this also posted in customs board (double posting)? 3).Why have mods not locked this and informed the poster? That being said good work , the figs look great. ....Now locky locky

I wanted a crush that would be to scale with ax and smash, and at the same time represent his physique of the period. recipe: hillbilly jim body mr perfect shins ax boots jakks kevin nash head quite a fair bit of modifications went into this piece, but I also wanted to make sure it fit in with the rest of my mattels. to accommodate the longer torso i had to lengthen the centre chest straps. i also sculpted wrist tape and rivets on the tights, as well as modified the kevin nash head significantly. demolition crush also, to be fair, i think the work i'm doing on these figures could be considered both fix ups and customs. most of them have sculpted and painted elements, much like custom figures. and yet the changes made are subtle enough that they could be considered fix ups. As some have mentioned earlier, there are forum members who only visit the customs section and some who only visit the mattel section. And with the effort that I put into these figures, I'd certainly like to share them with as many people as possible. As to why i started my own thread, I wanted an "archive" of my fixups; I enjoy and have bookmarked both Dean's and Bandelero's fix up threads, and i know I can't be the only one. anyways, here's a pic of my mattel "collection". I'm pretty sure I've seen collection threads started here without any fuss. =)

Great work. And I appreciate you posting in the Mattel section, I rarely go to the customs board.

Man you have a real thing for sculpting socks Chicken! I remember you sculpting socks on some of your old TTL customs back in the day. Love the attention to detail though, really makes the figures stand out.
If Mattel makes Mankind, I wonder what Chicken will sculpt on it first?? haha
Crush looks great, the only change I'd make if it were my custom is the head, personally I don't see Adams in Nash. Obviously the CS Crush head would be 1st choice if you could shrink it, since that's a pretty good likeness, but failing that I'd probably have used an R3 or RA Test head, always thought it looked kinda like Adams, especially for his later career.

thanks guys, appreciate the support.
The Assassin: haha i guess you have the fashion back in the 80s and 90s to thank, seems like a lot of the guys liked wearing socks that showed through their boots. Am definitely hoping mattel pulls through and does a foley in the near future, would love to see a cactus jack and corporate mankind. i do agree with you on the head choice for crush. I was thinking that by bulking up nash's cheeks he'd pass off as adams. plus the sculpt has a pretty good grimace that I associate with crush. alas it fell a little short. live and learn eh?

once again thanks guys NickJ: this is the stuff that i use for sculpting, it's a 2 part epoxy clay that is similar to aves apoxie. highly recommended since epoxy clays dry rock hard and are really durable

annd hall is done. i'm quite happy with how it turned out, especially with the barett body. i think scale wise it's pretty accurate. credit for the vest and knee pads go to ralph's, really pleased with the quality. after seeing quite a few of the red wolfpack style fixups, I wanted a b&w version of hall, to go with a b&w version of nash and hogan (eventually) recipe r3 hall head barett body ax upper thighs duggan boots the barret neck joint has this really odd shape to it, so i had to sand that down. scott hall
