Soooo....
I have an ipod. It's a nano. Not sure what generation etc. But it'll be 2 years old next month if that helps.
Anyway, my wife and I have 2 user accounts on our PC with windows vista. Recently, the user account in my name got all messed up so we decided to just downsize to one user account on the pc since she has a laptop and barely uses the desktop as it is. Anyway, I still was able to access and transfer all of my music files over to the other user account and loaded them all into itunes.
My first problem was that it would not allow me to edit song info. I eventually solved that problem.
Now my problem is this. When I attach my ipod to the pc, it doesn't show up on itunes so I can load songs onto it. It also doesn't show up in computer as a disk drive. What do I need to do to get itunes to read my ipod. I've googled until I'm sick of google with no results
Another problem I have is likely a virus of some sort. My computer starts sounding like it's running something constantly. When I open task manager I typically see iexplorer.exe running even though there is no explorer window open and I don't even use explorer. It also takes up a crapload of memory. I've ran adaware and Hitman Pro to no avail. What next?

You might to re-fragment the Ipod which will lose the songs on it but it should help get the Ipod recognized (I'll post more about this later when I have more time)
The iexplorer.exe. thing could be a virus, or it could be that Internet doesn't close down anything. First thing I would check is when it starts sounding loud again open Internet and see how many iexplorer.exe's there are. If there are 2 then you now one is a fake/virus.
