Anyone on this board from Canada? I started collecting WWE Legends figures this fall and I noticed that the distribution and availability of them here on the West Coast (Vancouver) is bizarre. They are available at TRU and a few other stores, but what I've come across strikes me as strange.
There seems to be an abundance of Series 2 and Series 4 (Ultimate Warrior and Demolition are harder to come by than the others) figures around stores and that's about it. At one of my speciality toy collectors stores they had a few from Series 1 (Steamboat and Slaughter) and Series 5 (everyone but Bam Bam Bigelow). I have never seen any of Series 3 at retail nor have I seen any of Series 6.
The same thing goes for the Defining Moments figures. I have come across a ton of Shawn Michaels. I was lucky to find Savage and Ultimate Warrior. I have not seen Bret or Steamboat.
What's up with this? Is Canada simply behind on the times in regards to distribution?

Yeah like everywhere else our TRU are littered with those Legends 2 Packs (I'm sorry but the choices Mattel made for that first series of Legends two packs were terrible). Series 2 is pretty easy to come by as well, especially figures like Terry Funk and Iron Sheik. Series 4 Hillbilly Jim and George Steele are also easy to find.

In Toronto:
TRU - Some of my locations have L2 some have L4. Also, the Legends 2-Packs. A store called Mind Games - has had L5
Just an FYI, in case you didn't know, it's 20% off all WWE figures at TRU Canada

I'm Canadian and I've also noticed a very limited distribution in Canada. My local Toys R Us has had terrible selection from the start...unless you want Iron Sheik only.

Canada has a terrible distribution for WWE figures, We had Elite 6 Punk and Batista warming shelves for over a year, and then they went back down to Elite 5 Henry and Mysterio. Also i'm doubting Bret Hart defining moments will ever hit Canada.

Yeah, the distribution in Canada sucks, big time. Even dating back to the Jakks days. I remember there were a few CS series' we never got and it seems like it's going to be that way all over again with the new Mattel Legends line. It shouldn't be that way, but unfortunately, it is.

Thanks to the TRU sale, I finally got my hands on Demolition and Ultimate Warrior. As for the DM sets, it's weird that Mattel packed two Warrior figures instead of one Rock and one Warrior like they did with DM1.
It's a dilemna. Do you order online and pay high prices, or do you wait and hope not to get disappointed...

That probably makes too much sense. It's really interesting how everyone else in the country is experiencing the same thing. Oh well...looks like online or going across the border may be the answer.

Mattel has stated here before that they offer all lines/product to other countries, but they pick and choose what they want. So if Canada doesn't get DM Bret then (can you see it coming?) Canada screwed Canada!

I'm in Regina and distribution is god awful. I'm in Montreal and the distribution is awful here as well. Zellers still has L2 on it's pegs. Walmart here never had any Legends and TRU still sells some Jacks WWE figs and barely carries any recent Mattel figs. I now get my figs on-line. Sure the shipping and customs make it more expensive but going regularly to several stores hoping to get a particular figure takes a lot of time and a lot of gas. So now I just stay home and wait for the UPS truck to show up. The extra charges are just part of the cost being a collector in Canada.

In Southwestern Ontario, at the 2 local Walmarts near me, there is a bunch of William Regal figures from Series 4, a lot of Flex Force Triple H figures in the DX gear, many of those 3 for $25 figures that are randomly put together in packages, and a lot of those 3 packs of Rumblers. A few new Rumblers like Sheamus/Orton, and tag sets of Batista/Taker, Rhodes/Dibiase and MVP/Henry.
For my Walmarts rule...?? No, not really.

Around here Walmart has Basics William Regal and Flexforce figures, Zeller has nothing but FlexForce (Which never move). But it seems winners is the place to get stuff, I found all of Elite 7 (The Entire series instead of 2 figures) and a few people have found all of Elite 8 aswell. So hit up you local Winners and see what you can find!
