Yeah that happened to my Martel as well. Mine doesn't have any stains on the arms but it's on both shoulders.

Don't know if it helps, but a little acetone or nail polish remover might get those stains out. I had the same issue with my elite shamus, the cross around his neck left stains on his chest, a little acetone on a q-tip took it right out. Just be careful not to use to much, it can eat away at the plastic real quick...

I had the stains on my Martel as well. Mine were very light on the shoulder balls but it was enough to drive me crazy. I displayed it only with the coat on but then eventually put it on the classifieds. I have considered buying another one but it seems like a risk, and obviously it's a common occurrence. Same happened with my Ricky Steamboat who was all red from the waste up and the E9 Ryder I grabbed who had black stains on the top of his legs.
The staining and the paint app issues are my biggest complaints with Mattel. Great figures, but they are getting too expensive to buy over again so they need to get it right the first time.

My Martel is like that as well, but not near as bad....
On a side note, since you are planning on making a custom out of that, any chance that his perfume sprayer accesorie is available? I traded for mine and the guy never sent it with. LMK Thanks!

I've had some minor stains here and there...but that may be the worst I've seen.

Martel's problem is that black jacket he has and the fact that he's been sitting on the shelf for months and months while the stains just get deeper.

I ended up selling it a little later on and had the jacket on for a while never had 1 stain.

I'm sorry man.
Has anyone tried using a nail file or a small piece of sandpaper to GENTLY try to scrape off the stains?

Mattel really makes me want to quit collecting with stuff like this. Then don't. They've already addressed this issue by trying two different style shirts over a one year period to see what we like. What more do you want from a company? Plus not all figures are plagued by this. I've had friends purchase Ryder figures with no issues, and one that did have some stains. Jakks had the same issue with some of their figures, so why people are acting like this is something brand new that figure collectors are running into, I'll never understand.
