I can personally live without them. They were way to expensive and I had to wait for most to go on clearance before I even thought about buying them.

They should bring them back and just not use the whole entrance theme songs since that will cut into the budget.
I don't mind basic legends with accessories. Better than nothing we are getting since it seems like legends will be dead soon and all we will be getting is flashbacks of the same stars over and over again.

For the price, it wasn't worth it without the Elite articulation, but I still want a Y2J Elite/Flashback and DiBiase figure.

The whole Mattel likes to screw us over is a little harsh.

The whole Mattel likes to screw us over is a little harsh. Apparently he'd rather pay $25 for an Elite instead of agreeing to Mattel's cutting cost to continue to produce awesome figures of exceptional quality. If he doesn't like it, he could always go back to Jakks's monkey men. Go on, we don't mind if you jump ship.

I wouldn't mind seeing them come back. I could do without the music stands, as stated per chewdeezy. They were decent basic figs with great accessories.

Yeah I Personally loved the packaging they displayed great. There is no need for the base to play music if the price would go down to 14.99 I can see them being big sellers.

I'd rather pay that once than spend triple upgrading them to Elite.

I'd rather they bring back Defining Moments. If I'm going to pay $22 (what EG were around here), I'd rather pay just a few more dollars and get elite articulation. The music base isn't worth it to me. I'm just not a fan of basics when elites are so much higher quality.

Entrance Greats weren't so great. They were insanely expensive for basic figures that came with a glorified stand and clothing.
Defining Moments were better, but too expensive. I'm sad to see them go.
Mattel isn't intentionally screwing us over, but they certainly don't seem to have the best inclination as to what sells/appeals to the overall fan base. I know criticizing/putting over Mattel is a controversial issue on the boards, but Mattel brought it upon themselves. They clearly didn't understand the customer base coming into the line. I'm guessing whoever the bosses are of the people who oversee the WWE line are left scratching their heads sometimes. It seems like they're finally learning from their mistakes, but we the collectors have been left feeling a little burned and confused.

No thanks, them being basics was a big turn off for me, not to mention the display stands just got tossed into my old figure bin. Great attires and scans but I turned all mine into elites

The ones they made I really liked. Undertaker is amazing, Jericho is perfect.
However the price and the concept is just not appealing for my collection. Every Entrance Great I bought I paid LESS than retail. Most of them significantly less. (like $6.00 for DiBiase & $8.00 for HBK)

The thread makes no sense. The reason Entrance Greats were cancelled is that they didn't sell -- this is why people find them in discount stores for $5. Why would Mattel bring them back?

I rather have dms. Not big on basics especially at the price.

Most of them bombed, though. Them not being able to reach a larger profit margin as a business doesn't mean they're screwing anyone. I think Rock and Undertaker were the only ones who did noticeably well. They can't just make stuff for collectors because as we've seen, their premium collector lines have all failed to some extent at retail. If in 2012 they don't do well online, that's probably all she wrote for any premium line outside of the odd exclusive here and there.

Not many people wanna pay 20$ for a single figure when you get a 2 pack for that. They cancelled them b/c they didn't sell. I would rather have 3 or 4 average lines that sell then have 2 that sit and cause stores to not order.

Entrance Greats was canceled because it tanked and no one bought it (likely because they were God awful basics). Defining Moments was canceled because no one bought it due to the price.
