Evening, I very rarely make a topic on these boards but this I was far too interested in to let go. Do you think the X Division is once again on the back burner? Reason I ask is because earlier this year it looked to be getting back on track around LockDown when I saw so many in the Xscape match. Fast forward over the next few months worth of iMPACT!/Impact Wrestling and they's stories and build up for the X Division. Then once we start seeing old faces mixed in with new ones you really thought it was getting the rub of the green then along comes the Destination X PPV that became a great success! I just feel over this last couple of months it's the same routine with the same guys, having to rely on past X Division stars like Kash and Aries to try and return to it's former glory, TNA seem to be having trouble establishing new X Division stars except from that Jesse Sorenson kid, who is doing well for himself and is getting over, despite his beyond lame character. I just feel it's the same matches with the same people and it once again lacks the care or emphasis that it once had, no longer does it have it's diverse and deep roster as TNA have all the contracted guys that they just don't use. I'd love to know if Destination X was a draw or not, just to try and drum it into the idiots who run the company that it's the kind of wrestling we want more than just once a year. I'm a TNA supporter so don't call me a hater.

I actually think the division is the strongest it has been in years right now. Aries is tearing it up as champion, putting on great matches week in, week out. Kash is playing the annoyed veteran role well, Sorrensen the up and comer and so forth. They tend to put on the best match of the show every week and are constantly put over on commentary. I think the glory days of it are gone, it'll never be the focus of the shows again; but it's really good right now.

I just think they need to get one more young guy in there as I just can't see Kash lasting, he can't keep a job for too long given his past track record, unless he's finally grew up in his 40's. I'm kind of sentimental about the time when it was the focus of the show, they's always hope that once Hogan leaves TNA which has got to be sooner than people think they might be hope for the X Division to get that main event spotlight back.

Honestly, the X-Division being the focus of the show was dead long before Hogan arrived. Long before. I think people have a selective memory in that regard. Hogan leaving wouldn't make a difference. I do agree that I'd like to see more talent show up week in, week out. Especially considering they've got the talent on their roster, but I'm happy with it just being focused on the "core few" for now.

With AJ, Daniels and Joe not competing in the division...it is lacking in some serious star power. The new cast of people like Jesse Sorrensen just arent good enough to draw interest.

They signed several new guys, but most of them are never on (Haskins, Nese) or rarely appear as jobbers (Zema Ion). It's pretty much just Aries/Kash/Sorensen/Kendrick, a pretty small division.
They really need a legit second-tier belt, whether that's the X title or the TV title or something else.

Its tough for TNA to showcase the X Division every week since there isn't enough TV time on Impact. I think TNA should create another show like what WWFE had like Heat, Metal etc...

This is it, they need to create new X Division stars without relying on them three, I'd say even Kazarian should be moved on from the X Division by now.
