Oh my god. I love 1960s Batman. I own the DVD of the 1966 movie, La La Land Records Remastered score for the 1966 movie of a limited edition of 2000 copies. I own a T-shirt with the 1966 Batmobile on it. I own several Hot Wheels 1966 Batmobiles one with the smoothe grille and one with the egg crate grille, and the 1:43 scale Hot Wheels one too. The 1966 Batmobile will kill the 1989 and the Tumbler any day.

That Batmobile is always awesome. Atomic Batteries to Power, Turbines to Speed.

I don't hate it, it's a hoot. Truly hilarious, so I do enjoy it whenever I happen to catch it on TV. But the thing is, I really dislike how in some peoples minds the campy 60's Batman is how they see the character.

Yeah you people could distinguish it from what Batman is but if they can't it's their problem. Adam West and Burt Ward rocked as Batman and Robin actually it's the only Robin I ever liked.

Well, lets see here.
I love the show, absolutely one of my favorite (if not, my absolute favorite) Batman adaptations.
However, I can't stand when (mostly elderly) people think that Batman's always some happy-go-lucky, campy character. The original comic was anything but happy-go-lucky and campy. Luckily for us in the younger generations, we've really been exposed to a ton of different adaptations, and there is no definitive Batman for us to hook onto.
Shame it will never be released on dvd. Lucky for me, I have 2 or 3 vhs tapes somewhere of nothing but this show. I need to buy the movie on dvd. It was a real amazing work of art.

It should be released on DVD but I believe due to licensing issues it can't be because DC wasn't owned by Warner at the time of the 1966 TV series. It's strange because somehow Fox can release the DVD of the movie but they can't release the TV series on DVD.
