.. Since most of the attitude era. My god what a year, this year is the year everyone look back at as the start of a new era. You had Edge's sudden retirement, Christian finally winning the WHC, CM Punk's shoot, CM Punk winning the WWE Title in Chicago in those circumstances and the way the crowd reacted, Kane's return, Booker T's return, Cody Rhodes, Zack Ryder, Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan winning the World Title. Mark Henry's last hooray and amazing heel run, R-Truth's awesome heel turn. The Rock's return, Cena hasn't been too bad this year in terms of booking.
We have now entered the point were a lot of Attitude Era stars will be making big appearances and stuff, like during the Attitude Era how guys from 80's would make huge appearances, the next 5 years should be great. Once Vince steps down, then we have completely ushered into the future.

For me, WWE hasn't been this consistently entertaining since 2003.

I stopped regularly watching around 05 and just kept up w/ storylines online but this year I have been watching RAW almost every week. NOT perfect but it has been on/off decent to good.

This year has certainly been the best for, I'd say, around five years.
I enjoyed 05/06.

.. Since most of the attitude era. I stopped reading after this... Th Attitude Era was horrible in my opinion. But I do agree that 2011 has been one of the best WWE years ever.

WWE is looking the best it has in a long time. The talent pool is amazing, and extremely promising for the future.

I agree. I've had more fun watching/talking about WWE this year than I have for a long time. Even though there have been alot of title changes, this year has been entertaining.

It was a great year. But I also LOVED 2003. 2004/2005 were good too.

Yeah this year has been great! I stopped watching wrestling around 05-06 and sporatically after that, but this year has been very entertaining and I'm glad that they're pushing their younger talent!

If you really break it down, 2011 was better than any year from the Attitude Era. I love the Attitude Era, but the writing at the time was ridiculous. It is really just something you have to watch live for yourself. Of course, the main event scene is unbeatable; with guys like Austin, Rock, Foley, Taker, Kane, Hunter, Angle, Jericho, and etc. going at it, but as a whole.... I can simply say 5 years from now, I'd rather re watch Money in the Bank than Wrestlemania 15.
I repeat, I LOVED the Attitude Era.

I still liked the Ruthless Aggression Era (?) When Lesnar, Angle, Guerrero and others were on top.
2011 was better than any year that Cena has been on top, but only because of the 2 weeks Punk was cut loose in the summer, and the stuff that's going on now, which is the last month of the year.

2011 had some amazing individual events, in fact, it's the year I've marked out most during: - Rock's return - ADR Royal Rumble win - Christian's WHC win - Punk's June promo. - Punk's WWE title win - Bryan's WHC win
But there's been a lot of crap this year too. Absence of Edge, Jericho and Mysterio has been a bummer. Plus, a lot of the storylines have just been super BLAH, as well as a lot of the PPVs. I think I enjoyed 2010 in terms of storyline more, as we had the whole overarching Nexus storyline, which provided some must see TV. Yeah it went south eventually, but there was still some great moments amongst them. Mania this year also has left a sour taste in my mouth.
So yeah, on paper, this year had lots of cool crap, but the glue that held it all together left a lot to be desired IMO.

Also, Christian losing the title immediately after he won it got me the most mad I've ever been at wrestling... and I still think it was a mistake.

I was so happy when he won, so gutted when he lost it. Although, we got a series of kickass matches between him and Orton so it wasn't too bad.

2011 certainly hasn't been a bad year, but I'd credit 2010 for ushering in a new generation of superstars, as that was when the youth movement really started to take effect. In 2011 they just continued running with the ball and didn't waver like they did in '06-'09.
But with Punk, Bryan, Ziggler, Ryder, Barrett, Rhodes, etc. I think the future definitely looks bright.
