Main Event: 30 Man Royal Rumble
WWE Championship: CM Punk© vs Dolph Ziggler
World Championship: Daniel Bryan© vs Big Show vs Mark Henry
Street Fight: The Miz vs R-Truth
Intercontinental Championship: Cody Rhodes© vs Booker T - On the January 2nd 2012 episode of Monday Night Raw, Dolph Ziggler battled CM Punk in a great WWE Championship match that ended unexpectedly when the Final 2nd day of 2012 video played before the lights went out , seemingly teasing the return of The Undertaker. When the lights came back on, It was not the Undertaker standing in the ring behind CM Punk, but Chris Jericho. CM Punk walked straight in to the Code Breaker and the match was called off. In the weeks leading to the rumble, Jericho announced that he would be entering the Royal Rumble match, while Dolph Ziggler gets his uninterrupted title opportunity at the Royal Rumble - The very unlikely World Champion, Daniel Bryan had two behemoths battling over the right to challenge him for the World Championship. During a segment where Michael Cole told Daniel Bryan that it doesn't matter who challenges him for the belt at the rumble, because either way, he is going to lose the belt. Maybe out of annoyance, or maybe he actually believes he can, Daniel Bryan told Michael Cole that not only can he defeat either Big Show or Mark Henry, but that he can defeat them both at the same time. The match was made official and Cole found himself locked in the Lebelle Lock for good measure. - On the final Raw of 2012, R-Truth returned, to take action against the man who attacked him from behind, putting him on the shelf for a month, The Miz. Truth violently attacked Miz in retaliation and in the weeks leading up the Royal Rumble, told the world that "Little Jimmy is ok by him" Miz and Truth have been attacking each other weekly, having to be separated most times by security and John John Laurinaitis decided to let both men settle their differences at the Pay-Per-View in a street fight! - Booker T and Cody Rhodes are 1-1 against each other and to finish the series, Booker T gets another chance to capture the Intercontinental Championship.[/size]

Could be a nice return for you Chris, but the only thing I dislike is that the Royal Rumble match is now predictable because of the way you had Chris Jericho return. In addition, the WWE Championship match for the Rumble is also predictable. Everything else looks great though.

Dark Match) Epico & Primo w/ Rosa Mendes defeated. The Uso’s following a backstabber by Epico on Jimmy Uso.
Following a video package, setting up the pay-per-view, the crowd are greeted with a pyro display that erupts all over the entrance stage. The cameras spin around the arena showing the loud crowd before stopping at the commentator’s table where Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are sitting. They welcome everyone to the show before the camera cuts to the ring where Lillian Garcia announces that since Booker T is competing tonight; please welcome a special guest commentator, good old JR, Jim Ross! JR gets a good reaction from the crowd as Cole runs him down.
1 – WWE Intercontinental Championship) Cody Rhodes© defeated. Booker T – As already mentioned, Cody & Booker are 1-1 in victories against each other, with this being the rubber match for the Intercontinental Championship. Booker T returned to the company at this event last year and is looking to add another Rumble moment to his CV. Cody and Booker went back n forth, hitting their usual spots before Cody lowered one of his knee pads, and kneeing Booker in the gut. Booker seemed winded as Cody ran to the ropes looking to finish him off with the Beautiful Disaster only for Booker to see it coming, hitting the side kick on the exposed knee of Rhodes. Rhodes held the knee in pain, clearly hurt, and Booker took advantage, working on the knee before calling for the Scissor’s Kick. Cody quickly moved out of the way and rolled Booker up with the school boy, holding on to the trunks to steal the victory.
Following the bell, Cody limped out of the ring laughing at how he just stole the victory only for Goldust to run down the ramp and roll his brother back in to the ring. Cody looked at his brother in anger before turning around and walking straight in to an Axe Kick by Booker T, who smiled and gave the crowd a Spin a Rooney.
The cameras turn to the back where Josh Matthews is standing by with the World Champion, Daniel Bryan. Bryan says that tonight, he is in the middle of two behemoths, and is clearly the underdog. He says this won’t stop him from making one of those men tap out, because even if you’re the World’s Largest Athlete or the World’s Strongest Man, you still only have 2 options when you’re in the ring with Daniel Bryan. Tap, or Snap!
2 – Street Fight) R-Truth defeated. The Miz – Dating back to when John Cena somehow managed to turn Miz and Truth against each other, they now go to war in the vicious Street Fight. Miz and Truth battled in and out of the ring, brawling more than wrestling in the early going, before starting to interact the weapons such as steel chairs and trash cans in to normal wrestling moves for more damage. The match continued with both men going back n forth. A cool spot took place during the match with a table set up in the corner of the ring. R Truth went for the Axe Kick, only for Miz to counter it and attempt the Skull Crushing Finale. Truth hit some back elbows before being pushed away by Miz, sending Truth in to the corner while Miz backed in to the opposite corner where the Table was set up. Truth began to charge and jumped for the Lie Detector spinning elbow, only for Miz to roll out of the way, sending Truth crashing through the table. Miz rolled Truth out of the corner and went for the three count only for Truth to kick out at the last second. The match continued on and eventually came to an end with Truth countering the Skull Crushing Finale in to his own move, The Consequence, sending Miz’s face crashing in to a steel chair laid out on the canvas. Truth hooked the leg to pick up the victory.
The cameras cut to the back where John Laurinaitis and Theodore Long are standing with the Bella Twins as wrestlers come and go with their Royal Rumble number. Chris Jericho walks in to the room and picks his ball, and even before looking, begins to brag about how he’s going to win the rumble and dethrone the self-proclaimed best in the world name thief, CM Punk of his WWE Championship. Jericho turns around to leave the room but is blocked by Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler. Vickie does her usual stick before Dolph tells Jericho that he isn’t going to have the chance to take the WWE Championship from CM Punk because he is going to do it tonight, himself. Ziggler does say however that if Jericho is lucky enough to win the rumble, he’ll look forward to beating him at Wrestlemania to retain his championship.
3 – World Heavyweight Championship) Daniel Bryan© defeated. Big Show, and Mark Henry – This by far was Daniel Bryan’s toughest challenge to date not only as World Champion, but generally in his WWE Career. At the beginning of the match, Big Show and Mark Henry did battle against each other, casually throwing Bryan away when he’d get near, so it wasn’t the best of starts for the champion. After being thrown out of the ring again, Bryan hangs on and went to the top rope where he hit the un-expecting men with a double missile drop kick, stumbling both of them. Henry stumbles in to the corner where the champion quickly follows it up with some repeated kicks to the chest, winding Henry enough to get him down to one knee. Bryan tries to follow it up with a kick to the head but Henry catches the leg and turns it in to a Gorilla Press only to be speared by Big Show, causing Henry to fall back with Bryan landing on top of him, getting a two count before Henry threw Bryan off with ease. The match continued, leading outside where Big Show called for the WMD on Bryan, only for Bryan to get out of the way, causing Big Show to punch the outside of the turnbuckle, seriously hurting a previously injured hand. This would lead back to the ring where Big Show would still hit the WMD on Mark Henry with the hurt hand, knocking Henry out, as he rolled out of the ring. Bryan quickly went on the attack with several kicks to the side of Big Show, only for Show to push Bryan in to the ropes before wrapping his hurt hand around Bryan’s throat. Show lifts Bryan in to the air, looking to hit the Choke Slam, but Bryan elbows the hurt forearm area of Show, causing him to fall down to one knee in pain. Bryan quickly follows it up with the roundhouse kick to the skull, and locking in a slightly awkward looking LeBelle Lock on the 7ft Giant. Show tried to hold on but had no choice but to tap out and Daniel Bryan retains the World Championship in the biggest upset of the year.
4 – WWE Championship) CM Punk© defeated. Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero - A brilliant match from start to finish with both men giving it their all. At times during the match, it seemed like Ziggler had the WWE Championship won, even going as far as connecting with the Zig Zag, only for Punk to be close to the ropes, grabbing hold to break the pin fall attempt. The match continued with both men battling back n forth, and eventually heading to the top rope where a nasty spot took place. With Punk’s back facing the ring while on the top rope, like he was about to go for the moonsault, Ziggler quickly jumped up to a vertical base, and jumped up with Punk where he tried to connect with the Zig Zag from the top rope. Punk held on to the turnbuckle causing Ziggler to fall back hard on the back of his neck, nearly looking like he was seriously hurt. Ziggler rolled in to position for Punk to hit the tribute to Savage, Elbow Drop, and shocked everyone by kicking out of the pinning attempt. The match continued, and eventually, Chris Jericho made his way to ringside while the referee was distracted with Vickie. Jericho rolled in to the ring but instead of going after Punk, decided to hit the Code Breaker on Ziggler. Jericho rolled out of the ring and grinned as Vickie screamed. Punk looked angry at Jericho, before looking down at Ziggler, not sure what to do. Punk clearly didn’t want to win this way and waited for Ziggler to get back up to his feet, where he quickly hit the GTS to pick up the victory. Punk looked dissatisfied with the win and Jericho grinned from the top of the entrance ramp.
Royal Rumble Match: #1 Alberto Del Rio – Eliminated by Kane #2 Justin Gabriel – Eliminated by Kane #3 Ted DiBiase – Eliminated by Kane #4 Zack Ryder – Eliminated by Kane #5 Evan Bourne – Eliminated by Hunico #6 Jack Swagger – Eliminated by Mason Ryan #7 Mason Ryan – Eliminated by Sheamus #8 Hunico – Eliminated by Jesse James #9 Sheamus – Eliminated by Brodus Clay #10 Kane – Final Four #11 Goldust – Attacked by Rhodes during entance, later eliminates himself #12 “Road Dogg” Jesse James – Eliminated by Kane #13 Jinder Mahal - Eliminated by everyone #14 Kofi Kingston – Eliminated by John Cena #15 Brodus Clay – Eliminated by John Cena #16 William Regal – Eliminated by John Cena #17 JTG – Eliminated by John Cena #18 Cody Rhodes – Eliminated by Goldust #19 John Cena – Eliminated by Kane #20 Wade Barrett – Eliminated by R Truth #21 Diamond Dallas Page – Eliminated by Kane #22 Chris Jericho – Final Four #23 R-Truth – Eliminated by Miz #24 Mick Foley – Eliminated by Miz, after eliminating Miz #25 Christian – Final Four #26 Drew McIntyre – Eliminated by Chris Jericho #27 Rey Mysterio – Final Four #28 Santino Marella – Eliminated by Christian #29 David Otunga – Eliminated by Rey Mysterio #30 The Miz – Eliminated by Mick Foley, then rolls back in to eliminate Foley
As Miz and Mick Foley brawl on the outside of the ring, Christian, Chris Jericho, Kane, & Rey Mysterio are the final four men in the Royal Rumble match with the chance to go on to wrestlemania and challenge for the WWE or World Championship. Foley chases Miz up the ramp with a chair and swings for Miz’s face only for Miz to duck and get behind Foley. Miz follows this up with hitting the Skull Crushing Finale on Foley, his face crashing in to the ramp. Several referee’s quickly run down to separate Miz and help Foley. Back in the ring, the four men are still going, with Kane looking unstoppable. Mysterio springboards off the ropes but gets caught by Kane and chokeslammed out of the ring. Cena makes his way to the ring again to taunt Kane, yelling at him that he doesn’t care if the people boo or cheer him, he’ll do what he loves and that’s kick some ass. Kane steps over the ropes as he normally does to leave the ring, ready to brawl with Cena but grins, remembering where he is. Just as he’s about to get back in to the ring, Jericho springboards of the ropes and hits his Triangle Dropkick, knocking Kane of the apron. Kane looks mad but pays his attention to Cena and the two quickly brawl up the ramp as the finish takes place in the ring with Christian almost immediately chucking Jericho out of the ring. Christian returns to in ring competition by winning the Royal Rumble match and will move on to Wrestlemania 28 to challenge for the world title of his choosing!

- Christian winning the Rumble, let me be the first one to say this, that I am completely in shock, I really am, I wasn't expecting Christian to win but nonetheless I'm happy, but I have to ask, where was my man Randy Orton? He wasn't even in the Rumble match at all, but I was pretty happy with the surprise entrants of Road Dogg, Goldust, and Mick Foley, they made the Rumble enjoyable
- Rumble was not what I expected, I expected Jericho to win it, but Christian with a shock win, this was Christian's first Royal Rumble match since his last one was in 2005 which was 7 years ago
- But still how can you leave Randy Orton out of the match?
- But all I have to say is One More Match, One More Match, One More Match, Christian is on his way to WrestleMania 28 in the main event but which championship will Christian go for? The World Heavyweight Championship and stay on Smackdown or will Christian do what Chris Benoit did way back in 2004, will Christian switch shows and decide to go over to RAW to face the WWE Champion, Christian he has a guaranteed spot in the main event
- CM Punk retaining his championship the WWE Championship by defeating Dolph Ziggler to retain was awesome, an all around great match and Jericho coming down to interfere but we didn't know if he was going to attack Punk and help Ziggler or turn on Ziggler, and he did just that, he turned on Dolph hitting the Code Breaker and leaving and then Punk taking advantage of it even though he didn't want to, was great
- Daniel Bryan the paper champion, the fluke beats both Big Show and Mark Henry in a Triple-Threat Match at the Rumble to retain his title, this to me just proves that he will lose his World Heavyweight Championship at the Elimination Chamber, I don't see his reign lasting any longer than the next pay per view where he will lose the title by having to defend it in the Elimination Chamber against 5 other guys, no way he walks out champion
- Truth beating The Miz was great also in a Street Fight which was as brutal as they come, really barbaric, and I loved each and every second of it
- Rhodes beating Booker was awesome too, and then after the match Goldust makes his return and throws his brother Cody back into the ring where Booker T hits an Axe Kick on Cody, I want to see a Cody vs Goldust feud for Mania

Royal Rumble
- OMG, Chris you actually got a show up. That's gotta be the most shocking part of this Rumble full stop. ;D - Great opening contest, I'm enjoying seeing Booker back in action and could actually see him making a full time return at some point. Obviously Cody was the right choice to win this one. Goldust turning up was a nice bonus, but I really hope you don't go with Cody facing Booker or Goldust at Mania. He deserves a big time match. - R-Truth/ Miz sounded vicious and I loved that you had Truth going over here. I'm really hoping you don't turn him face though. I think he'd work well as a tweener who just goes after everybody. - It was good to see that you worked Daniel Bryan's underdog role into the match fluidly. There was no way he was just going to hang with these two men. I find it really hard to envision Daniel Bryan winning with the LeBelle lock but I'm glad to see Bryan retaining. - Good to see Punk/ Ziggler going on just before the Rumble, but there should probably have been some kind of Diva's match breaking up the two world title matches. Good to see Ziggler nearly taking the win here, I'll be disappointed if he doesn't get the title in 2012. Jericho cheating Ziggler out of the win continues the Punk/ Jericho feud nicely and also keeps Ziggler looking credible. - Absolutely loved the Rumble, mainly just for the DDP appearance. Everything else can be terrible if DDP shows up. I liked that you set up a Miz/ Foley feud, I can see it being similar to the Edge/ Foley feud from back in the day. I don't think having three heels as your final three was the greatest move, but Christian winning was pure genius and not what I expected. If we're getting Daniel Bryan/ Christian at Mania then consider me a reader.

WWERoyalRumble: Alright Hammers lets see what you've got going on here. Epico and Primo going over the Uso's prior to the PPV is fine since there isn't enough room in the Rumble for the four men. Jim Ross as a guest commentator is a nice touch there. Cody Rhodes retaining was the right decision, Cody doesn't need to drop the IC Title anytime soon as the next best person to take the title is DiBiase and he needs more build. Good job having Goldust interfering post-match to give Booker the last word, which will hopefully end the feud and start the road towards their match at Mania, if that's what your going for. Daniel Bryan retaining tonight is likely. Truth going over the Miz is great, I'm guessing R-Truth's done with Miz now since a Street Fight seems like a match to end a feud. Good hype for the WWE Title Match later with Ziggler and Jericho. Daniel Bryan retaining is about right, I have always had trouble thinking of a face Big Show tapping out to the LeBell but it's better than Henry tapping, so I can go with it. Jericho hitting Ziggler with the Codebreaker is clever, as it's clear Jericho wants to face Punk. Jericho shouldn't win the Rumble now though, it'd be too obvious of a win. The Rumble looked great. Miz and Foley feuding into Mania is such an original idea and would be great. Kane looking unstopabble during the match is awesome and Cena costing him the match is good but Cena also needs to focus on Rock on the road to Mania, so hopefully you can rap this up quickly. My only gripe is that you had two heels finishing the match, it could've been Christian and Rey, giving the crowd someone to moreso root for. Christian winning however, is surprising and very good. Your matches for Mania so far: CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan vs. Christian and Miz vs. Mick Foley look great and it was a good opening show for the diary. I hope you can see this one through though.

Now that Christian is main eventing Mania for the championship of his choice, I can see Christian switching shows and going to RAW to set up a Triple-Threat Match with Jericho and Punk, because that match would make for a more entertaining match-up if you ask me, but I think Christian will stay on Smackdown going for the World Heavyweight Championship
I just hope for your WrestleMania 28 that you don't have the World Heavyweight Championship match be the match that opens the pay per view much like in real life, because that is what they did for Mania 27 when they had the WHC match start off the pay per view, the championship matches need to happen before the actual main event itself which will be Rock vs Cena
To set up Bryan vs Christian at Mania, Bryan needs to retain his World Heavyweight Championship inside the Elimination Chamber which I cannot see him doing at all, I see him losing the championship inside with Bryan getting his rematch at Mania to set up a Triple-Threat with Bryan, Christian, and the new champion whoever it may be, I think it will be Sheamus to set up Sheamus vs Bryan vs Christian
But I am loving CM Punk vs Chris Jericho, this feud, Best In The World vs Best In The World At What He Does, only one man can have that moniker
Miz/Mick Foley with this rivalry I can only hope that their match at Mania 28 is either a Hardcore Match or a Street Fight
Rhodes/Goldust feud I will love it too, the only thing it needs is Dusty Rhodes, because he is their dad and with him in this feud we get to see which son he will side with in this feud, if he will side with Goldust or if he will turn on Goldust and side with Cody, and then you involve Booker T in this feud for Mania as well, it makes it all the more better
As for Undertaker whenever he returns, he needs to face someone new for his Streak Match, someone like Wade Barrett and Taker & Barrett have history because it was Barrett and company who helped Kane to bury Taker alive, and Taker has never really gotten his revenge on Wade Barrett for that, so for Wade Barrett to be a Mania opponent for Taker, is way better than HHH facing him for a third time at Mania or Kane facing him for a 3rd time
Now a Kane/HHH feud would be way better in my opinion if you ask me

- I love how Jericho and Punk have their rivalry going, and how you have kept it fresh, just who is the Best In The World, which wrestler deserves that title? And Ziggler with him mixed up with these 2, why not have him added into the match to make it a Triple-Threat Match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 28? CM Punk (c) vs Chris Jericho vs Dolph Ziggler, it would be a 5-star classic but it needs to be saved for Mania, but CM Punk needs to get through the Elimination Chamber and defend his title inside the Elimination Chamber match and retain, and then Jericho and Ziggler can challenge him, with these 3 men, who is the best wrestler not just in the world but in the entire WWE?
- Zach Ryder beats David Otunga to qualify for the RAW Elimination Chamber, we know Ryder and Punk are in the Elimination Chamber, now we have to see who else qualifies, this should be great
- Kane chokeslams Barrett after Cena suffers from the Wasteland via Barrett, and then Kane is about to attack Cena but security gets involved, with GM Johnny Ace not wanting to risk the main event
- Air Boom vs Epico and Primo going to a no-contest after Hunico and Camacho attack Epico and Primo, I must say that I was shocked, I thought it was going to be a 4 on 2 assault but Hunico & Camacho turn on Epico and Primo, shocking
- Christian winning the Rumble and wanting to stay on Smackdown going for the World Heavyweight Championship, I can see why, because that title Christian sees as his title and that the WWE Title is not his title because Christian maybe thinks with him on Smackdown, he can be the face of that brand, Christian I knew he was going to stay on Smackdown because let's face it, Christian would be lost in the shuffle on RAW and he just doesn't have what it takes to be on RAW, because on RAW he would be a little fish in a big pond and not the top guy, maybe Christian is afraid of Punk, I can't say that I blame him if he is
- Brodus Clay beating Santino Marella, who can stop this behemoth, nobody can
- AJ & Alicia Fox beating Kaitlyn & Natalya w/Beth was a great divas match-up, the Divas of Doom are like a female version of Legacy, with Beth being the Orton of the group, Natalya being the Cody Rhodes of the group and Kaitlyn being the DiBiase of the group but the only difference is that Beth and Kaitlyn are not generational superstars, Natalya is, and for a divas stable, I hope they stay around
- Jericho in his first match back beats Justin Gabriel, I love it
- All in all, great RAW, NXT I could care less about

WWE Royal Rumble: Sunday 29th January 2012...Good to see Epico and Primo still with offence, even if it was only a dark match win against the Usos. Keep them as relevant as possible. Cody Rhodes and Booker T was a hot opening contest, in their rubber match. Glad to see Cody retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship, but this whole feud seemed like something that the insulted veteran should have won against the smug youngster. R-Truth and the Miz in the Street Fight was good to see, but it should have opened the show; especially since I see these two in the Royal Rumble match later tonight. R-Truth with the win was good; hopefully you remain his face turn whilst retaining the insane Little Jimmy persona. Daniel Bryan overcoming the odds and retaining the World Heavyweight Championship was the wisest decision you could make, hopefully this is now the end of Mark Henry and Big Show's expired feud. CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler could steal the show honestly, great WWE Championship defence; hopefully you will allow Ziggler to become a main eventer and maybe even be WWE Champion at one point in 2012. Chris Jericho's involvement was expected. Now onto the Royal Rumble. Alberto Del Rio returning in time for the Rumble was nice, and same for Christian and Rey Mysterio. Liked Mick Foley's return to in-ring action, Diamond Dallas Page? Not a fan of that. Road Dogg too, hopefully those are mere one off appearances. Happy to see you going ahead with the Miz and Foley's feud. Goldust and Cody Rhodes' feud...I hate that. It'd be nice to see and all, but I really would rather not see Goldust take Cody's time up closing in on WrestleMania XXVIII; not whn Cody beat Rey Mysterio last year anyway. Christian winning the Rumble I'm mixed on personally. But nevermind. Overall, a solid installment of the Rumble, predictable undercard but that is typically the case. Wondering where we go from here, and how Chris Jericho fits in now he failed to win the Rumble.
