Looks like Kmart didnt have a very merry holiday sales season and is gonna close some stores and some Sears stores also. I wont miss my ghetto kmart. They never have crap for wwe figures, only common HOF Legends and a few lame older elites and the only thing they got in the for the holiday was one case of elite 11 (which is the first wwe figures theyve gotten since legends series 3 and DF Savage) which i passed on because I only collect legends, definining moments, entrance greats and elite flashback ones.

I seen this as well, it's quite sad that even after sponsoring a huge company such as WWE, they still have to shut the doors on a lot of facilities. I mostly feel bad for the older works who have been at those stores for a long time. They'll end up losing their jobs. Unemployment line, heed their call!

I have one ghetto K-Mart near me (went to it today actually, it was worthless) - would be fine with it dying - though I did find Elite 11 there before anyplace else.
I also have a good K-Mart near me as well (where I found the WWE cube) so I hope that store is still going strong. Seems like right now K-Mart is the best place for WWE figures (what with TRU and Target being completely bare and Wal-Mart having nothing but loads of old stuff).

What's sad is my state just gave Sears a tax break and they are still doing this.

The K-Mart closest to my house went out of business about 3 months ago. Kinda sucks actually. I have been going there for like 15 years.
But when you go to a place where the employees don't give a damn about anything and have no answers for anything, it's pretty obvious the place is going downhill.

And K-Mart isn't the only place where that happens either.

K-Mart and Sears Grand are 2 of my favorite stores to get figures. I hope they don't close the ones by my house.

Sears Grand sells figures, eh? Then again, I can't remember ever hearing of Sears Grand.

The Kmart closest to my house is closing. I don't know exactly when but I heard the rumor about a month ago. I can't say I'm surprised. The place is so old and run down. The employees are also very nasty. If it wasn't for Kmart getting the last few Elite sets in first I wouldn't even shop there.
There is however another Kmart not much further from my house that was a Kmart years back, turned into a Sears and is now a Kmart again. It looks newer but I've yet to have any luck finding any figures I've needed there. Although they did have multiples of the Von Erichs the other day. Those figures don't interest me though.

And K-Mart isn't the only place where that happens either. Yeah, WalMart is the same way... but all of their product is much cheaper than anywhere else... so they can basically treat people anyway they want with no consequences.

Aren't ALL K-Marts kind of ghetto? I know that all of the ones around here are. The hierarchy goes Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart.
I do have to give my local K-Marts credit, however - they have been on top of things when it comes to WWE figures. The last thing that I got at TRU was Legends 5, & the Wal-Marts & Targets seem stuck on Elite 11. For this reason (and this reason alone), I really hope the K-Marts around me survive.
As for K-Mart's customer service, I never bother to ask anyone less than a manager anything. They seem to be the only ones that have ever been able to help me.

The K-Mart I considered the closest to me has been shut down now for the better part of almost 8 years.

Is there a list of locations closing? I have no clue if any around me are closing.

@ cableV Did you make that Kaitlyn custom?
About the K-Marts closing it is really sad.
I don't really go there often at all but if the one closest to my house closed it would kind or suck considering it's been there for as long as I remember.

That sucks. I am guessing that the one around here will be one of the ones that are closing. It never seems to have anyone there. I just found Elite 12 there, too.

Yeah, the Kmart "closest" to me has been closed for 2-3 years now. 2 of the other ones near me are really ghetto, and the other, while not terrible, isn't anything to put on a pedestal. You hate to see people lose their jobs, especially to that degree, but I can say without a doubt that I won't be missing Kmart if it goes away. Sears going out of business is actually a little surprising though. I usually have a good experience there, though it's overwhelmingly obvious that a store like Sears is sort of obsolete in 2012.

I hope the one closest to me doesn't close. It's typically fairly busy at most times minus right when they open. Also is started to get a better and better figure selection, which is nice to see. Was able to pick up an Elite 10 Kane, Elite 12 Alberto Del Rio, and Elite 12 Daniel Bryan over the last 3 weeks.

I hope the one here in Hazleton doesn't close because my nephew works there and I don't want him to lose his job. Does anyone remember when Kmart closed a bunch of stores in 2002? I'm not sure of the exact year.
