What's sad is my state just gave Sears a tax break and they are still doing this. Are you here in Illinois?

We have one good Kmart, and one craptacular one here in town. It is sad. Every time I o there, there are only about 3 cars in the lot. I guarantee that store will close. The irony is, the crappy store is right ACROSS THE STREET from the Sears in our town.

Keep in mind it's Kmart AND Sears stores that are closing. Sears, themselves, took a bigger hit in sales this Christmas than Kmart. So I would expect the store closings to reflect that.

Our Kmart was really dirty and their toy section was never straightened, but my wife went in to check out the WWE figures and she said it was really clean for a change.
I never go there for any other purpose other than for WWE Elites and Legends; they seem to be way ahead of the other stores. They had Legends 6 well before anywhere else around here.
The employees there are rude and fairly ignorant to what they carry. They just don't seem to have a clue as to what promotions are going on or even what's going on with their own stock. One lady at customer service told me they didn't even make Star Wars figures anymore and I had two in my hand.
It's no wonder they're shutting them down.

all of the Kmarts in my area are easily the best stores for finding figures. I hope the 3 of them stay open.

There are two K Marts in Staten Island, and the one closest to me, and has been there for all of my 33 years, is closing very soon.

Yeah I have 2 KMarts I frequent. Between those, 3 Walmarts, 2 Toys R Us, and a Target the KMarts have the best toy sections and seem to constantly have some kind of sale going on. Hope both my KMarts stay open.

I have good news about the Kmart in Hazleton. It won't be closing anytime because I know a girl who works there and she talked to the people from corporate and they said that the Hazleton Kmart is the #1 performing store in the region. So it won't be closing.

I wouldn't mind if my Kmart closes, because they never ever have anything. They still have Elite 5 & Legends 2, and that's about it.

I think they will close more then what they listed. That's what usually happens due to the fact that they don't want to scare shareholders even more.

Anybody have an official list of stores that are closing? There isn't a list yet. It will be posted at searsmedia.com once they release it.

That stinks, I was kind of lucky to have 3 of them in decent driving distance, I have to think that at least one will get closed.
Sad to see such a major name in retail tanking like this.
