www.wwe.com/shows/raw/2012-01-02/should-cena-embrace-hateThe idea of this article is to help the fans understand the current situation, and where they are going with this whole angle, and why. From the Piper's Pit segment on Raw, to Cena turning down a WWE Championship Match to make the fans happy, to Kane's lecture on needing to embrace the hate, it's just a matter of when.

Enjoy being disappointed when he doesn't. Because he won't.

I don't think it confirms anything.
But I won't rule out the heel turn this year.

They are putting a massive amount of time and effort into this whole angle, Cen HAS to turn heel for this thing to mean anything. He has to, or it will just make everything thats been done seem a waste, and for no reason. Drag it out for sure, but he has to turn or this will all have been for nothing and just a waste of TV time.

It'll probably end up being a showcase of Cena overcoming the odds in order make him look strong before Wrestlemania.

If there is a heel turn on the horizon it probably wont happen until after Wrestlemania.

If anything this angle is confirmation that he's going to be superface for a long time to come.

WWE.com has also written articles that the nWo was coming back, the Spinner should be replaced, and that WWE should bring back the Hardcore Title.
None of which has happened yet. So I wouldn't get my hopes up/

The stupidest and funniest thing about this thread is the title.
As greenjack rightly pointed out, if anything, this article suttlely confirmed Cena will be face for a long time. If they were going to turn the biggest hero in WWE heel, they would do it in a way that nobody would see coming for maximum effect. If Cena was really going to turn heel, it either would have happened already, or it will happen out of the blue. And since every idiot smark would bet their mortgage that Cena is going to turn, it will not happen.
What will happen, however, is Cena will ignore the constant pleas to 'embrace the hate', he may even tease or become tempted to be more heel-ish, but essentially once all this blows over he will have come through months of turmoil and adversity, thus making him a bigger babyface than ever before. That, my friends, is called Wrestling.

I'm a fan who is majorly in support of a Cena heel turn, or some kind of character change for that matter. I've grown very bored of his Superman, Fan-friendly, almost Hulk Hogan like gimmick. Now his gimmick has evolved into him knowing that half of the WWE Universe doesn't like him and he's perfectly cool with that. It's very phony. I wouldn't mind him staying face for longer, but I'd like him to step up and be more of a badass, not a total bitch.
I have a feeling this whole angle will be to keep Cena face. I'm convinved that the entire Nexus angle with Cena was done for the very same reason. They wanted to show that no matter how much pressure is put on John Cena, he will always come out doing the right thing. I'm almost positive that's what this angle is for as well.

If Cena does turn heel, I see at happening at WM this year by him cheating to beat The Rock. Perhaps an alliance with Vince?

He's never going to turn. People need to give it up already.

I doubt he will turn heel, but no one saw Austin turn heel so I suppose anythings possible.

If he turns heel it will be something very brief like when Shawn turned before he faced Hogan in 06, at least thats what i see happening.

I just don't see them doing it now. Orton's out, Jericho's clearly turning, so who does that leave as a major baby face? Punk can't be the only one. I'd rather have a heel Jericho than a heel Cena right now tbh.
