Whats the best way to clean the black marks off your figures? Hot soapy water?

Pure acetone works for some figures depending on the stain, but it does not work for all them. It might not even work at all really. Its a real shot in the dark. Usually if you have stains your practically stuck with them.

I like to use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sometimes Thanks! I'll try that. That would be the safest bet. My son puts them in his mouth sometimes so I don't want to use any kind of liquid besides soap and water.

Well nail polish remover works extremely well for me. I believe it's because it has the acetone in it lol

You don't want to use acetone or nail polish remover if they are going into a kid's mouth, though. The magic eraser does work but I am not sure which chemicals they have in them for them to work. I'd check that first. If the marks are from other figures' paint rubbing on them, it is not easy to get the marks off without a harsh chemical, however.

The magic eraser works wonderfully but the reason it does is because it gets rubbery when wet. so yo u are basically rubbing out. so make sure you just rub the spot and not the plastic because you will leave a scuff mark if you do.

the problem with using acetone is that you are running the risk of eating away at some of the designs that were already on the fig

I like to use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sometimes I can't recommend the Magic Eraser highly enough. I've used it to clean old Hasbros and LJNs, and it can somehow take off scuff marks without harming the original paint underneath! It's like witchcraft, I tell ya! It's also pretty darn handy around the house, for getting marks off of walls, and so forth, but that's another story.
