This is from wrestlezone.com
After speaking with sources, WZ can confirm that WrestleMania 29 is going to take place at MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants and Jets football teams. This will be the first time this venue has held a professional wrestling event. WrestleMania 29 will also beat the NFL to the punch of having a major event there because WrestleMania 29 will take place in late March or early April of 2013 and the NFL is going to hold the Super Bowl there in February of 2014. This is reportedly a huge success for Vince McMahon as he is wanting to hold the first big event at MetLife stadium and set an attendance record before the Super Bowl takes place there. Sources said McMahon had a big smile on his face for getting WrestleMania 29 at MetLife Stadium. WrestleMania 29 taking place at MetLife Stadium will also give the New York market a WrestleMania which has some significance because WrestleMania 30 is not going to be held in New York's Madison Sqaure Garden as tradition would have it. WrestleMania 30 is going to take place at the Dallas Cowboys stadium located in Arlington, Texas. WrestleMania 30 will not be at MSG because WWE wants to stick with only having WrestleMania at stadiums from here on out. Madison Square Garden is expected to continue to get big pay-per-views like it did with Survivor Series this past year.

Outside......in March/April......in New York.
Yeah. Bring your parka's because it's gonna be COLD.
I live in New York and could easily go.....but even I think this is a bad idea. It's going to be so cold. Hell, in New York we usually get a huge snow storm every April!
I think they should stick to having Mania down south and in warm/indoor places.
I understand they don't want to waste a WM on MSG anymore because it only seats a little over 20,000......but I dunno if WM outside in the cold is a good idea.

Man up, people go to Football games in December, January and February there. The end of March and April it's usually pretty damn warm here in Jersey. Not to mention knowing WWE they will build a roof of some sort for the event. Look at all the money they put into the Citrus Bowl for WrestleMania 24.
I definitely plan on going since I've never been to a WrestleMania before.

One reason the WWE kept having Wrestlemania in warm cities like Houston, Phoenix and Miami is because it is too cold in March to have them up north. People are going to freeze to death if Wrestlemania is being held at MetLife Stadium

Yea...Im not buying that one at all. No way are they going to put Wrestlemania in the freezing cold north east during the winter. Its one thing for football players but you're not going to have some dude in his underwear running around in 15 degree weather.

It's the Spring and it's never 15 over here in March lol. Hell most of the time it's in the 60's if not higher. No one is gonna freeze and Vince Mcmahon isn't stupid. I'm sure he has ideas just in case it were to be a rainy/cold day.

Vince McMahon will be very stupid for breaking tradition about having WrestleMania 30 somewhere else and not The Garden, Vince and His Father are in the Madison Square Garden Hall Of Fame. Sometimes Vince does stupid crap.

Wow don't know how i feel about it. On one hand it is great but having been to metlife in the rain and cold it is not pleasent to sit in the rain weather it be summer or winter. Sitting in the cold isn't as bad but it can get brisk at night. Not my idea of how to go to Wrestlemania but the weather could end up being nice.

Sometimes Vince does stupid poop. I want to see WrestleMania in MSG as much as the next guy but from a business standpoint I can see why Vince would rather do stadiums. You can fit more and it has that WrestleMania feel to it. Not that MSG doesn't but I guess times have changed. Vince is all about business. From what I read MSG will be getting more of the bigger ppv's.

Mania 30 NEEDS to happen at MSG. Its tradition and IMO its the best crowd they have anywhere. Just look at SS last year. That show had an amazing feel because the fans were actually into the show. If they have Mania 30 anywhere other then MSG im going to be appalled.

The April avg is high 60, low 43 but common sense is going to tell you the warmer parts of April is going to come towards the latter of the month. Maybe people in the northeast are use to colder weather because its more common there but Mania isnt just for local people. Its going to turn A LOT of people off having to sit in cold ass weather for 4-5 hours. Its not going to be Green Bay in December cold but it certainly could keep people from going.

People are saying it can't be possible because it's cold weather, but the Super Bowl is being held there two months prior. There's a first time for everything.
