I was just curious in light of the Evan Bourne violation I was wondering if it ever effect your purchasing or even playing with the person's figure when you know they are suspended for drugs? I myself am Straight Edge and it prob makes me a hypocrite but I still use figures if they are on the juice but if it's something like weed or a worse drug makes me kind of not care for them as much.

I most certainly take a hard stance against drug usage, but I realized a long time ago that if I let peoples personal lives affect my decisions on entertainment I probably wouldn't own any albums or ever watch television or film. I distance these individuals work from their personal indiscretions, and that is usually the only way I can enjoy some of them. Or buy a Jeff Hardy figure for that matter.

This is the funniest topic I've seen in awhile. Simple answer no it doesn't, and to explain that I collect X-Pac and Matt Hardy merch and neither of them is a clean healthy person.

No it don't affect me. Also, I heard it WAS indeed marijuana that Bourne was suspended for? Someone told me he liked smoking the buds for sure anyways so I just figured that is what he keeps getting suspended for. He does not strike me as a juice monkey at all. Either way I'll still collect and watch him and such. The only drugs I get sickened by is ppl shooting heroin or Steroids or cocaine into there veins to get high, or ppl smoking crack and snorting coke. Basically the hard drugs i just get sickened by to see someone throwing there lives away and ruining things for themselves really is all. Bud is harmless besides being illegal because the government says it is, pot is the safest, natural, most harmless drug there is. It even saves some ppl's lives so I can't hate on that.

I'm 'straight-edge' myself but I don't remotely care about these people's personal lives enough to not enjoy them as performers, regardless of their personal life choices. Shawn was a total dick in the 90s and did hard stuff nightly, but that doesn't make his matches any less awesome, and it certainly has no affect on something like action figure collecting.

Yeah I had to get rid of my Jeff Hardy figures for this very reeason. Every time I looked up and saw him I wanted to start trafficking opiates and don't even get me started on my struggles with steroid use and a messy divorce on account of my Hulk Hogan figures.

Like you, I've never touched a joint, had beer, glass of wine, etc, in my nearly 40 years on earth. However, if I had an Evan fig (I don't), I wouldn't think a second about the drug problem. Evan Bong..er..Bourne is a persona, a character, a fictional construct which you enjoy. The man behind the character is the one with the drug problem. Think about it this way: if an actor, director, writer has some kind of personal issue, would you immediately go through your DVD collection and get rid of every project in which that person was involved? I know I wouldn't. Given the multitude of problems which celebs have, I wouldn't have anything left to watch, read, or listen to by the time I was done.

I would imagine 80-90 percent of the roster of wwe have smoked weed so you might as well sell your collection man if it bothers you that much

Stop collecting a wrestler for smoking weed? People been different makes the world a more intresting place and all but I dont understand anyone who would say they would'nt buy a Evan for that reason.
Like Apocalypse said you'd better throw out your whole collection....or 95% of them anyway. Drugs made some wrestlers more intresting....like probebly Macho Man. Others took it too far sadly.
All there personally choices but there still wrestling legends and such.
WWEfan22 has a good attitude about it.
I struggled at 1st to buy guys like HHH, Micheals and Mchman because I thought out of work there were pricks but decided I wanted a complete (as possible) collection of wrestling history and modern times.
Plus pots ace!

Actually the opposite, I never play with my CM Punk cause he's a square that doesn't know how to have a good time.

I try to seperate the characters from the actual people that protray them, but I get what you're saying about thinking less of the person due to their actions in everyday real life.
The use of steroids and weed to me is at the discretion of the athlete..that's just me. I do understand however, that being role models or at least marketing the company as "kid friendly" there needs to be repercussions and consequences.
I am honestly more upset when I hear that a wrestler is immoral in their everyday life. Examples include Ricky Morton being a deadbeat Dad, Jake Roberts neglecting his kids and being a hardcore addict and even my all-time favorite Ric Flair, screwing so many people out of money in his personal life.
It's human nature to take both the personal and professional into account and very hard to distinguish the two for some.

2/3rds of my favorite wrestlers of all time are a mess in true life. Hogan & Jeff Hardy are disasters. Cody Rhodes seems to be a clean, stand-up guy. This all being said, I will share a small story.
I remember when I was gearing up to go to Wrestlemania 24, and Jeff got suspended (again!), I was so disappointed in him. I mean, c'mon, this was my first Wrestlemania, Jeff! How dare you mess it up by not being there! I actually contemplated selling off all my Hardy merch & calling it a day on being a mark for him. Then, I realized "hey, you know what? I do stuff that would probably disappoint people too. Who am I to judge". Gotta be honest, it was a big maturing moment for me...and all because of wrestling.
Don't let the man ruin the mystique for ya, brother.
