Sup guys. Well look, in October 2011, just a few shorts months ago, I was at the worst point in my life. My blood pressure wasn't controlled and I was on medicine. It was whacked out. My weight was at its worst. I was pushing over 200 + pounds and I felt and looked horrible. I decided on November 1st, 2011, I would change my life. I gave myself a deadline of March 2012. Let's move along.
From November, December and currently January, I kicked the addiction of fast food, soda, candy, etc. I eliminated every bad part of my diet and said I DO NOT need this stuff. I then joined the gym. I suffered in the beginning. I had nightmares of food (unreal), I hurled the first night going to the gym. I knew this was the beginning. For the next 2 and 1/2 months I busted my ass. I went on a diet of strict Lean Cuisine/Healthy Choice/Weight Watchers foods. I drank diet soda and water. I did 2-3 hrs of cardio per night. I ran, biked, climbed stairs, walked, I did it all. Now I said in the beginning, it was going to take me a while. But like I said, on this day, I weigh in at 165. It's an amazing feeling. I lost an incredible amount of weight, I zapped my belly fat to a small lump of fat (and it's hardly noticeable) and I pretty much went from a fat, puffy faced guy to a skinny, thin faced, clean-cut guy. I look and feel great about myself. Everything went down in size. I lost weight all over. I went from a 36 inch jean size to a 30 inch. From shirt size XL to a small-medium.
Now I am maintaining my weight. I don't really want to lose much more. Maybe another 5 pounds would be nice, but for now, I've pretty much completed what I set out to do...
And everyone, if you ever need advice, and say you can't do it... remember, do it for YOU, nobody else. The reward in the end is worth it. I've had TONS of people... who I hardly see 1-2 times a week even say, WOW, you look incredible! You lost weight! It's touching. And to say I'm HEALTHY now... what a feeling. You can do it my friends. Anything is possible...

I couldnt stop laughing after I read "pushing over 200lbs" The last time I saw 200lbs was 15 years ago. Good job though, Losing weight is hard. If I ever get the time and money for it I wouldnt mind dropping 70lbs

Congrats man! Losing weight is one of the toughest things to do and you showed a lot of persistence in achieving that goal.

Good story. When I broke my right foot sometime in December 2009 and couldn't work for a few months, I gained a bit of weight, where I couldn't fit into my jeans anymore and had to go from size 34 to 36. When my foot healed and got back to work I lost what I gained. As long as you keep diet and exercising you'll be good to go.

Wow remarkable work JCF, glad it all worked out in the end for you. But now I feel bad, I weight 160 pounds and I'm only 16!!! I've been hitting the gym 3 maybe 4 times a week but I feel that the main reason why my body refuses to loose weight is because I have a poor diet.
Fat food all the time, soda, some fruit and vegetables occasionally etc and its really affecting my weight lost process in a negative way. So if anyone would be willing to help me out by letting me know how I can eat differently move these things out of my life and swap for some healthy/delicious alternatives it would really mean a lot. I face the same struggles this man had just younger.
Edit: I know some people would suggest trashing the junk food, but it's not that easy. The junk food is so good!!! also I'm not willing to try Weight Watchers despite this man's accomplishments because I believe it doesn't work.

The junk food is so good!!! also I'm not willing to try Weight Watchers despite this man's accomplishments because I believe it doesn't work. Thanks everyone! To the guy who asked about my blood pressure, before I changed my life, it was at the worst bottom number 120 and top 160. Unreal. I could have died. Now it's bottom number 70-80 and top 110-120. And to you man, it's not hard if you tell yourself I wanna do this for ME! You need the proper mindset and have to refuse this junk food. As far as a diet does, what you're doing now isn't good. Eating bad, then going to the gym. It doesn't balance out. You might burn off enough in the gym just to make yourself balance out. If you ate the proper food, then went to the gym.... you'd be on the ball. For a diet, I eat for breakfast: - Weight Watchers Blueberry Muffin or Weight Watchers English Muffin w/Egg & Cheese. (both available in local supermarkets). Breakfast is under 200 calories. Lunch: - Any small Lean Cuisine or Weight Watchers entree. Anything under 300 calories does it for me. Mid-Day: - Smart white Wonder bread, toasted with 1/3 serving of a Tuna Salad 100 calorie pack. A delicious healthy sandwich worth maybe 130 calories. Have it with a banna and your snack is not even 250 calories. Or if you're not a fruit guy.... throw in any type of Fiber/Snack bar. Dinner: - This is the fun part. Any bigger Healthy Choice/Lean Cuisine entree. No more than 400 calories is perfect. Have dinner with a diet coke and for a side have a 100 calorie pack of cookies. Dinner can be around 500-600 calories if you want. And in closing... don't eat after 7 pm! This will play a big factor in your lifestyle/diet... All the food I eat is readily available in stores. I usually food shop at Wal-Mart SuperCenter but lately the deals elsewhere have been better. On average, eating costs me around $60-$70 a week. I thought it was expensive at first. I then realized, I spent more money actually eating out!! And I was eating junk.
