Mattel once told us that they could not legally put the prayer tattoo on Rey Mysterio's upper rib area due to some sort of copyright issue with the wording of the prayer. However.....the prayer was included on Rey Mysterio in WWE '12 the video game. We've seen in the past, obviously CM Punk's Pepsi and Cobra/Spitfire tattoo's are not legally able to be put on figures or in video games, and the case was the same with Hurricane Helms' Green Lantern tattoo. Based on the fact that Mysterio's tattoo was put in WWE '12, it would seem whatever legal issue Mattel spoke about (if it was actually the truth) has been cleared up. Are we ever going to see this tattoo on figures of Rey Mysterio? It's a small issue, but technically makes his current figures inaccurate.

a video game isn't considered a childeren's toy...so there's less restrictions. Plus they have ratings to them. And I though Mattel said legal said no because they did not want to offend people not because of copyright laws.

It would not be legible either as the text would have to be a -1 size font! They could just put nonsense text there to represent the prayer. I doubt it would be readable if they did add that tat to a figure.

Yeah, but they have the cross tattoos on his chest, and there is a DIRECT QUOTE from the BIBLE on the back of Randy Orton's figures right arm....So if that is what Mattel is claiming, then why are some symbols of religion ok and some are not? It really doesn't have anything to do with religion or God. From what I understand, it was written by a child for Rey so that he would always be safe and protected in the ring. Plus, I think the type of people who would normally be offended are the type of people who are probably not bright enough to translate what it says anyway. lol

It's not too small there....and in REAL LIFE I actually think the font on Rey's is larger than Orton's.
