So I have 36 MOC Mattel 1/1000s One of each of every male superstar. It's hard to realize how much space these things really take up when they are piled in a closet. I just don't have the wall space in my house to display them properly. Even though I won't be where I'm at forever, I'm thinking of the future and how much wall space they actually take up while in the packages My question...what do you think is better? MOC or Loose? Again I know in the end it's my decision and I can do what I want, but I was just curious what other collectors thought

MOC. I have 10 unopened 1 of 1000 figures and they look so much better in their boxes.

i say open the ones, thats easy too come by! and or keep those hard to come by closed & the one's u like closed aswell! besides if u do open them up, collectors tend too buy the gold belts loose. aswell if u have that figure & dont need it. thats more cash for more figures

I like to open everything but I would keep those MOC if I had them. I had a 1/1000 and I did open it and came to the conclusion that it looked so much better MOC. I put it on my shelf and it looked like a regular figure with a large belt. It seemed to lose what made it special.

Normally I'd be the leader of Team Open It. But they're 1/1000. They're special pieces that sealed mean something. When you open them they lose their uniqueness even if you wrap the belt around the figure.
I say keep them sealed. Not for investment, but just because they are better sealed, and I'm sure you have many figures of each superstar anyways. So don't open them up. You'll end up regretting it, I'm sure of it.

They look kinda dumb loose with the belts. I have around 10 of them like that. I would keep them MOC if I were you... or sell them on eBay and use the money to repurchase the ones you want loose.
While we are on the subject, hunting for Mattel figures was a hell of a lot more fun when these were around.

I've found a great deal of 1/1000s but just don't care to collect them. The one I did buy, was a Series 1 HHH which I opened. I figured why not celebrate Mattel's take over, but since I don't see myself selling the figure, no point in keeping it in the box.
I've also opened my SDCC Undertaker, 1/500 HBK with Undisputed Title and 1/500 Bobby Lashley with WHC. And they look lovely on display.....even though the Undisputed Title is around my Big Evil Undertaker, and Jericho currently holds the WHC.

I have around 36 MOC 1 of 1,000's. And a few other random MOC figures. If I were you, I'd keep them just say they are- MOC. I don't think they look as special loose. I have a Punk & Beth loose with the belts and they don't look that great.

Just keep them MOC. If you have no more room and really can't display them, just sell them.

I'd say keep them MOC, but open the doubles. BTW, what's in the cage? Is it a bunny?

Normally, I say OPEN but the set is pretty cool as is. That is a tough decision.

Keep them MOC until you have a wall space to hang them all.

I had about 10 1 0f 1000 belts MOC and I had to sell them, I did open my Jack Swagger and the only reason was because i didn't have him regular!!! Anyways here's a pic of him loose with the belt!!! Because he is pretty tall the belt dont look to bad but I recommend that if you keep them keep them MOC!!! IMG01437-20120124-1450 by elrey82, on Flickr
