I hope it happens soon. Every time we get our hopes up for a new design nothing happens.

I always wondered why they were reluctant to change styles. We always hear that the spinner version is a hot seller. So what, if there is another title, thats another belt fans would buy, right? Its not like they have to stop selling/marketingt he older title. New product = more merch I heard that is why they keep it too....because it's WWE's highest selling Replica Belt ever. So there is an easy solution to this......have the "Spinner" be what it should have been from the beginning. Have it be JOHN CENA'S PERSONAL TITLE BELT! And every time John Cena is Champion he will use that belt....Because I mean hell, he's Champion enough that they will still get good use out of it on TV, and kids will still buy it because it's still a piece of John Cena merchandise. But a new WWE Title should be put into place that can be held by people like CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, and others without making them look RIDICULOUS!

An ideal time, IMO, for a new design to be introduced, would be the night after WrestleMania 28. I mean, we're heading into a new era as far as I'm concerned, so a new belt is a good idea and logn overdue. But that would be a great time to finally make the change (especially, especially if they happen to unify the WWE and World Titles this year (again, I would mark like a bitch).

Instead of a belt, they should get a tiara.

It needs to go, it doens't match anyone but Cena, and now even that isn't really the case as much with him dropping his whole Hip-Hop edge.

Thats a pretty good interview. I saw him talking about it on twitter, but never heard it up until now.
Don't know about him calling Jericho a corny dude seeking the fan's agilation, but still I enjoyed it.

I really hope this is true, the belt has well and truly overstayed its time. Im ready to see something a little more prestigeous looking and not so superstar specific, the main problem with it is it says 'champ'. Needs more class than that. Hopefully it comes out soon. If the WWE does changes its logo to that new one they had for the network, surely the belt will change at that point. Not that I want the current title to stay, but they could just change the logo on the title. They could do that but if they are spending the money upgrading it, you may as well completely uPgrade it and give it a fresh new look since the main part of the design is the logo. As far as merchandise goes too, people would rather. Buy versions of a new belt not a subtle upgrade. Maybe I'm just being hopeful haha. I just don't think the belt suits anymore and it's lasted longer than some of the previous designs. Only a timeless looking belt is capable of that but the spinner is not a timeless look

I would love to see a new updated title, the current one just screams Cena all over. It looks weird on other wrestlers. I always thought that Edge was going to change the Rated R belt completely but he didn't. Now the thing that sets me off the most about the belt has to be the shape itself, which looks awkward... I would like to see a new belt with class, royalty and less gimmicks.

I too figured the belt would change after WM. If history has taught us anything, look at the "Attitude Era" belt, Undisputed, & Spinner. All of which were done right after, or within a few weeks of WM ending.

Wait Punk calls Beth Phoenix a douche bag? She probably beat him up.

I always thought that Edge was going to change the Rated R belt completely but he didn't. I remember around that time, Edge did an interview where he said he gave them some ideas for the Rated R belt and none of them involved it being a spinner. The current belt has definitely grown on me. Seriously, once they prevented it from spinning, I haven't had a problem with it. And IMO, it's looked good on most of the guys who have worn it. The only guys it looked weird on were RVD, Jeff Hardy (though I think it's weird to see him wearing any world title), and Sheamus. How great would it be if we got a brand new belt and then a month later Cena became champion and introduced a belt more hideous than the Spinner/Divas titles combined.

I figure they're waiting for the new WWE logo to be official, so whenever the Network debuts so will the title I'd think.

I always thought it would look ALOT better if they simply kept the same design but "flattened" the whole thing so its not as clunky and huge looking and would look more like regular belts.

Anyone know where we can get that ORton interview they're mentioning? I don't know where to get it, but I heard it when it was out. The part they keep referencing in the Punk interview is when Orton pretty much called Kelly Kelly a slut. He later apologized for it ad such, but yeah that's the diva they're referencing.
