Oh wow, Junior is being whiny after pack racing. You now.. the style HE wanted back.. No, if you read it, he said the wrecking and the carnage is what he was complaining about. And he was talking 4 to 5 wide racing. That kind of racing isn't needed. And that's not what he was talking about "wanting" back. And Jeff Gordon said pretty much the same thing. "That was the craziest, craziest finish I've ever experienced at Talladega," Gordon said. "It was just insane. I remember when coming to Talladega was fun, and I haven't experienced that in a long time. That was bumper-cars at 200 mph. I don't know anybody who likes that."When you beg for the pack to return, you know that is what is going to happen. It has nothing to do with the way the cars are, the way the track is, because it's all about the wheel and pedals.

Doesnt matter what the racing is like, If you dont win at Daytona/Talladega, they always bitch about it saying it's awful racing. It happens every year. Pack racing, 2 by 2, The "two line groove" as I liked to call it.

Idea: Stop bitching about the racing at Track A and maybe fans will show up to Race 2 at Track A.

Was just about to post that myself. This will effectively end his shot. He fell to 11th after Talladega. No offense to Regan, but I don't see the kind of performances the 88 team needs from him in the next 2 races to keep him in the hunt.
If he wins either one though, I will be the first to eat my own foot.

He was already out of the championship hunt. He couldn't make up -51 points in the final races. I'd laugh my ass off, if Regan won the next two races. He'd have the same # points wins at Hendrick as Junior in less starts.

That's happened before though, with him and other drivers. If it's nothing serious and doesn't affect them, drivers won't say anything.

If he wins either one though, I will be the first to eat my own foot. It no doubt ends his shot because he cant earn any points. You have to at least start the race to earn driver points. Junior isnt cleared so cant start. He wont earn any driver points, only owner points. This also reminds me of a situation with his old man a few years back. he got a concussion from I think Darlington and then in a pace lap before one of the races fell asleep at the wheel and crashed.

Changes for next season were announced yesterday. They include:
*Top 35 format is gone. The new format will be: Pos. 1-36 will be determined on speed alone. Pos. 37-42 will be set my owner's points. And Pos. 43 will be reserved for the Past Champion's Provisional.
*Qualifying order will return to random draw, instead of being set by reversing the order of first practice speeds. In the event of qualifying being rained out, the order will be set per the rule book, basing it on practice speeds.
*Nationwide Series will reduce from a 43 car field to a 40 car field, in an effort to cut down on those "Start And Park" drivers who have no intention of racing. However, the Sprint Cup will remain at 43 cars and the Camping World Series will remain at 36 trucks.
*For the Sprint Cup, testing will now be allowed at (4) sanctioned tracks, not including the pre-season test at Daytona. Nationwide and Truck Series' will be allowed 2 tests at sanctioned tracks.
And other news:
*Rodney Childers will return as the crew chief for the #55 team.
*NASCAR and Fox have extended their agreement 8 years, spanning into 2022.
*Sprint Nextel Corp. is selling 70% of the company to Japan-based Softbank. It marks the 2nd time the premiere sponsor of NASCAR has been sold since Nextel took over for Winston in 2004. NASCAR CMO Steve Phelps says that this is not expected to have an affect on the sponsorship of the top-level series in NASCAR.
Wouldn't that be some sh*t? "The NASCAR Softbank Series". Sounds weird....lol.

I am not a Juan Pablo Montoya fan in the slightest, but I like his car that he'll be running tomorrow.

Truex's new scheme looks way to bland IMO, I much prefer the one he is running in this year.

Danica is stupid. Newman is an ass. Kenseth is awesome. Jimmie and the #48 team are amazing. /sumsupsunday The Danica thing is a "he said, she said" - no one is right, no one is wrong, iyam. Regan Smith apparently impressed Jr. enough in the 2 races he ran the #88, as he has been hired by JRM to drive the #5 in the Nationwide Series full-time next season. The plan is to also move Cole Whitt to the #7 full-time and get sponsorship for him, and have Dale Jr. drive the #88 in select Nationwide races. Speaking of Jr., [and Hendrick Motorsports], PepsiCo is scaling back big time. It was already reported that they were taking less races with the National Guard signing on for 18 races next season. Now we know just how much. The new deal PepsiCo is working on is for $10M, and will include just 5 races for Jr. [between Diet Mountain Dew and AMP], 2 for Jeff Gordon [Pepsi or Pepsi Max] and 1 race for Kasey Kahne, which is TBA. AJ Allmendinger will drive the #51 at Martinsville and Texas, after which Regan Smith will drive the car, piloting the car at Phoenix and Homestead-Miami.

This isn't a one time thing for Danica. This is the third time in 2012 that she has tried to wreck someone on purpose because she was angry. Sam at Talladega where she turned him nose first into the wall, Reed at Indy where she shoved him through the corner and wrecked both of them, and now this.
Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Kevin Harvick, among others would have had their ass parked by now.
