Some bigger wrestlers like Batista, Undertaker, Big Show, etc fit in nicely, but for the most part, a typical Jakks John Cena will tower over Mattel's figures, and I am not even talking about Jakks Deluxe either.

Like said above, certain ones do. I use a Mick Foley and Nash in my Mattell collection and they fit in pretty nicely.

Yes, TNA Kevin Nash (deluxe) is about on scale with Mattel Undertaker. So he fits perfect. Unfortunatley, guys who aren't 7 foot in real life (like ringside's exclusive USA Sting) are also on a 7 foot Mattel scale, so he won't look good unless you want a giant Sting!
Also, Jakks UFC Brock Lesnar looks like a 7 footer next to Mattel figures. However, I replaced his calfs (lower legs) with a basic Batista from Mattel and it shortened him to about 6'8", and it gave him some beefier legs to go with his huge arm muscles. He looks okay if you have the parts sitting around to make him.

Many Jakks R3's fit in very well with Mattel not so much with RA's & DA's.

Honestly I dont see what the fuss is about scale.
I think it's great that Mattel invested some time in trying to do a scale. But why would you let that keep you from enjoying Jakks wwe figs alongside Mattel wwe figs? Sure some mattels look small next to Jakks. But I still think they are great together.
Now I'll also add this about myself. I really only care about legends/classics. And most of the legends made by mattel are about the same if not just the slightest bit shorter than jakks figs. So the difference isnt much. It's really more the current roster wwe guys that are short, not only as figures but in real life. So compared to legends they are considerable shorter. So what im saying is take a Mattel Kevin Von Erich fig and he's about the same height as Jakks RA figs, but he is a lot taller than a Bryan Daniels, Rey Mysterio, and other short guys.

RA & DA look like they came from another planet. I'm not a Jakks basher, either, they're just two different styles.

You can fit the classic superstars in nicely with your legends set. Some are a tiny tiny bit taller then the Mattels but most fit in perfectly. Giant Gonzalez, Earthquake, Typhoon, even some managers fit in great like Paul Bearer, Harvey Whipplemen etc. Just depends on who you get. Now i tried putting the Classic Doink in with my mattels but he seemed a little to tall to be there. Not outrageously tall but taller than i would like. So if your lookin for taller and bigger guys to display or managers or even some of the Jakks Divas they fit great. Tna Jakks figs however are extremely tall. The only one i would suggest using to fit in your colelction would be Kevin Nash. The rest are taller than Big Show lol

He looks okay if you have the parts sitting around to make him. So your Brock is in UFC shorts and wrestling boots? Do you have a picture? I don't have a working digital camera at the moment, but yes, He is all UFC Lesnar with (correction) Triple H lower legs. And he isn't 6'8", more like 6'10", but his legs look much better (in my opinion) than those chicken legs they put on Jakks UFC figs, and it shortens him a noticeable bit without looking ackward because the bigger calfs match well with the cartoonish biceps. He isn't a WWE Lesnar. I never watched him in WWE (haven't watched wrestling since WWF/WCW). I only know him as UFC Lesnar, and I wanted a Lesnar to fit beside my Mattels. He's still too big for my taste, but he's not 7'2" (taller than Undertaker) like he was before. I did a similar thing with Kimbo Slice and Macho Man's elite lower legs (painted white). I put black knee pads on him and shorter Batista boots. He's about 6'7" in scale with Mattels (down from 7'2"), or about even with Triple H. Of course those Jakks heads make them taller. For those who want their guys to look authentic, this isn't the solution. For those who find Mattel's scale to be the benchmark for which your other figures will fit in your collection, then doing part swaps with Mattels can sometimes work. For some reason, height means more to me than almost anything else. The only Jakks, of the few I own) that I will never touch is Giant Gonzalez. I don't care if he towers over everyone else, because he did in real life. All others (like Sting, Lesnar, etc.) need some transplants if I can't find broad enough Mattel shoulders for those Jakks balloon heads!
