When Mattel's deal is done with WWE. Will you still collect figures or will you be done? If jakks or a cheap in detail company takes over I know I will be done. Hopefully mattel has the line for at least 5 more years. You??

I would be done. I had no interest in collecting Jakks after the BCA line because the figures looked so crappy, so i would have no interest in collecting anything else. I'm to old to be collecting figures as is, but i love the WWE so much and Mattel does excellent work that i def wanted to jump on these while there being produced and cheaper to purchase. After Mattel is done, i'm just going to fill in my blanks and call it quits. Maybe pick up some customs ppl made that Mattel never did to.

I thought I'd be done once Mattel took over, but then came... Legends 3 Mr. Perfect SES Masked CM Punk Punk vs. Savage 2-Pack So, who knows for sure

I would be done. But if the license goes to Hasbro and the figures are then 3.75 inches then I would be done. I don't want to think of it.

Legends 3 Mr. Perfect SES Masked CM Punk Punk vs. Savage 2-Pack So, who knows for sure Pretty much the same for me, but it was Woo Woo Woo Ryder and Daniel Bryan that got me into Mattel. And I haven't been able to stop. So if a different company takes over, I might care enough to buy my favorite newer superstars.

When is mattel's deal even up? They seem to making a ton of money so i don't think they would pass up renewing the license.

It depends. If the next company uses a VERY comparable scale and releases figures I don't already have that I want, then I would buy them. If Jakks took it back over and made the same quality of figs as before, I'd easily pass.

Not sure.. but I can't see anybody doing it better than Mattel.
I definitely wouldn't collect if they were JAKKS again.

I have a few jakks r3, ttl, and ra figs. Parents got them for me when i was hardcore into wrestling, but even back then i didnt like how limited jakks were in posing.
I recently started collecting (Sept 2011) and in the few months i've spent close to $800 buying mostly Mattel Elite. I love how much detail Mattel puts in compared to jakks and i love that they're in scale. Never like jakks bc everyones basc the same size and have the same limbs, BUT jakks was really good with their accessories and giving lesser named wrestlers figs too.
Im not even close to the fan i was as a child, so once mattel's contract ends and if they don;t renew i doubt i'll spend this kind of money again on figures, esp if it moves over to a company like jakks. BUT if Marvel took a shot at a line, i might, bc i really liked their TNA line (series 2 and on)

Hopefully mattel has the line for at least 5 more years. You?? You do realize that Mattel is the #1 toy company in the world and WWE has been waiting YEARS to get this deal. Mark my word, Mattel and WWE will never end their relationship. The world will end physically (and no none of this 2012 crap) before this contract does.

If/When The Deal ends, and the don't renew, I will buy ONE of the new company's, to compare, then if it compares well (in scale), I'll keep going, if not, I won't even bother.

I haven't collected a wrestling figure since about 1987 with the LJN figures, once I saw the george the animal steele, hillbilly jim, iron sheik and nikolai volkoff I was hooked. I am really excited about the Andre the giant figure I got yesterday and the upcoming King Kong Bundy figure. It would be better if they were still at retail with 6 figures per wave, I don't like that we only get 6 legends figures a year. I hope mattel keeps making the legends figures, I doubt another company could make better figures.
